Title - New colour schemes for Shatabdi Express across the country

Indian Railways is planning to launch a project in which Shatabdi Express will get all new interiors. In this regard officials of National Institute of Design (NID) has submitted new interior designs with new colour schemes for Shatabdi Express.

In the of the new designs NID has tried to incorporate Indian cultural identity by adding brilliance to interiors with help of multiple colours. The second concept has elements that represent dynamic future of India like force and speed.

Both these designs has been submitted to rail coach factory in Kapurthala. The submitted designs are for the chair car and firs class chair car coaches in the Shatabdi Express.

The colour of flooring is different from seating color to lift visibility aura. Even the colour of   carriage at one or both ends where doors are located  contrasts with flooring and seats. Exterior colours will get  splash of orange, blue or green depending on the region with grey as its primary base colour.
