Title - New Broad Gauge line between Jeypore and Navrangpur

Announced in Rail budget of 2016 - 17, New Broad Gauge line between Jeypore and Navrangpur is finally sanctioned by Ministry of Railways. This 38 kilometre line between Jeypore and Navrangpur will cost 747.91 crores and is estimated to complete in 3 years of time. As per the latest business model by railways this project will also be taken up under sharing basis in which 50% investment will be done by Ministry of Railways and 50% by state government.

Once completed it will connect Navrangpur District of western Odhisa to Jeypore directly. Besides the direct connectivity between two stations this line will also provide important connectivity to trains via Koraput, Jeypore, Jagdalpur and Dantewada. 

Further, the line is useful for connecting Navarangpur to Junagarh/Kalahandi District and result in short lead to many other places of Odisha, Chhattisgarh & Andhra Pradesh.
