Ludhiana : As the power supply snapped due the Northern Grid failure, residents’ frustration and anger spilled onto the social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter."Power cut since morning," a resident tweeted. Jarnail Singh Dahele, another resident tweeted, "?it seems we are gonna have to spend the whole day without electricity."Not only residents, but also passengers expressed their frustration, as their journey got hampered due to the power cut. "Stuck in train en route Ludhiana since 2 am," tweeted a commuter.However, there were expressions of thanks and relief as well for the pleasant day. "Power cut since I woke up! But thank God, rain gods cared, such a lovely weather," tweeted Abhishek Sharma, a resident.Some vented their frustration. "This could be my last message of the day, battery of my phone conking out. Will catch up after the power supply is restored," posted another resident on Facebook."I got to know about the power grid failure through the social networking website and planned my day accordingly. Incessant messages kept me posted about the situation, which is the good part," said Maninder, another resident. |
