Title - NE students continue to throng Rly Station

Natives from North Eastern States, residing in Karnataka, continue to make a beeline in the city railway station to board train homeward notwithstanding strong assurances from the State Government to provide protection.Official sources indicated here today over 28,000 people have left the city with South Western Railway (SWR) running three special trains yesterday to Guwahati.SWR till date had run seven special trains to Guwahati and sources indicated that any decision on increasing their number would be taken only later in the day.Yesterday, the SWR had issued over 9,600 tickets to those leaving for Guwahati.Three companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) had already arrived in the city and were deployed in areas where the concentration of people of North Eastern states was high as a confidence boosting measure.
