Title - NCR GM visits Subedarganj facilities

ALLAHABAD: General Manager of North Central Railway Alok Johri inspected the flash-butt welding plant and Central Periodic Overhauling Workshop (CPOW) at Subedarganj on Monday. Johri also inaugurated the 260 metre long rail welding plant. With the help of this type of welding, about 260 metre-long rail can be prepared which can help in quick laying of railway lines. Speaking on the occasion, Johri said, "With the 260 metre long rail welding plant, there will be improvement in the quality of welding. Further, this will also result in reduction in time of the unloading of the rail and better management of the block.

This plant will also cater to 80% requirements of long rails of the three divisions of NCR including Allahabad, Agra and Jhansi. He also inspected Central Periodic Overhauling Workshop at Subedarganj. This workshop overhauls the temping machines which are used to lay ballast on the railway lines and also help in maintaining the railway tracks. The general manager inaugurated the new models and also the testing room of the workshop.
