Title - Mumbaikars get monsoon website--in co-ordination with the traffic police, railway and airline author

MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) yesterday unveiled www dot mumbaimonsoon dot in with the aim to keep the citizens updated on the rainfall situation.

Mayor Sunil Prabhu unveiled the website. The event has seen the presence of Deputy Mayor Mohan Mithbaonkar, Opposition Leader Dnyanraj Nikam, Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunt.

The website will be having rainfall details of 29 places and 100 landmarks across Mumbai updated 15 minutes. The corporation has already coordinated with the traffic police, railway and airline authorities to give information about traffic diversions, train and air service disruptions. The website has also been linked to social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
