Title - More trains to run from Mysore - The Times of India

MYSORE: Mysore south-western zone on Saturday added three new train services, including one express train, from Mysore station.Starting July 7, the division has started operating two passenger trains: Mysore-Chamarajanagar-Mysore (Tr No. 56207/8) daily passenger and Mysore-Shravanagelagola-Mysore (56215/6) daily passenger. Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi-Mysore (16217/8) weekly express will start from July 9.Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi-Mysore weekly express will leave from the city on Mondays at 5.30 am and reach Shirdi on Tuesdays at 11.30 hr with halts at Mandya, Bangalore city, Bangalore Cantonment, Yelhanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapura, Guntakal, Bellary, Hospet, Koppal, Gadag, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Solapur, Kurudwadi, Ahmednagar, Belapur and Puntamba. While coming back, the express train will leave Shirdi on Tuesdays at 23.55 hours and reach Mysore on Thursdays at 6.55 hrs.

The weekly express will have a total 21 coaches consisting of two AC 2-tier coaches, two AC 3-tier coaches, 12 second class sleepers, and three general second class coaches.Mysore-Chamarajanagar-Mysore passenger train will leave Mysore city at 14.45 hrs daily and reach Chamarajanagar 16.40 hrs with halts at Chamarajapuram, Ashokapuram, Kadakola, Tandavapura, Sujatapuram, Nanjangud town, Chinnadagudi Hundi, Narasanabudhi, Kavalande, Konnanur and Badanaguppe and while coming back the train will leave Chamarajanagar the same day at 16.55 hr and reach Mysore via same route at 18.30 hrs.The passenger train will have 13 coaches consisting of 11 general second class coaches and two second luggage-cum brake vans.

Mysore-Shravanabelagola-Mysore passenger train will depart Mysore at 11.35 hrs daily and reach Shravanabelagola at 15.20 hrs on the same day with halts at Krishnarajanagar, Hampapura, Hosa Agrahara, Holenarasipura, Hassan, Shantigram, D Sammudharavalli and Channarayapatna. While coming back, the passenger train will leave Shravanabelagola at 15.50 hrs and reach Mysore city at 20.05 hr.

Earlier, railway minister of state K H Muniyappa flagged off the train services at city railway station at a formal function. On the occasion, the minister announced Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1 lakh reward for SWR zone authorities and Mysore railway authorities respectively for their works. District minister S A Ramdas and MPs A H Vishwanath and Dhruvanarayan were present.
