Title - More than 9 lakh rupees collected as fine from tress-passers of railway tracks

RPF personnel of South Eastern Railway has taken stringent action to prevent tress-passing on railway tracks. Tress-passing across railway tracks is punishable offence with a penalty of imprisonment up to six months and or fine up to Rs.1000.

Many people had been booked for tress-passing and an amount of rupees 9,32,210 collected as fine. During the financial year 2017-18, altogether 3014 persons were arrested as Tress–Passers while 2995 cases were registered. Compared to previous year, number of tress-passing cases has dropped.
