Title - Morbi-Wankaner train extended up to city

RAJKOT: Railway authorities have decided to extend Morbi-Wankaner diesel multiple unit (DEMU) train service to Rajkot. The inaugural run of the extended train will be flagged off on September 2 at 12.30 pm.

Railway officials said the train will leave Rajkot from September 3 onwards at 7 am and reach Morbi at 9.10am via Wankaner city. On its return journey, the DEMU train will leave Morbi at 5.55 pm and reach Rajkot at 8.05 pm.

Divisional railway manager for Rajkot division Vinay Babtiwale said the train will comprise three general coaches and it will be first train to connect Rajkot and Morbi directly.

He said the train will halt at Bileshwar, Khorana, Kanakot, Sindhavadar, Amarsar, Wankaner City, Dhuva, Makanser, Rafaleshwar and Nazarbag in both directions.

Railway officials said the fare from Rajkot to Morbi will be Rs 15.
