The Noida authority has asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to start a feeder bus service in the city.“We have asked DMRC officials to work on the feeder bus service at the earliest. The bus service will be started in next couple of days,” said a senior officer of Noida authority. As per DMRC, the Metro feeder bus service will benefit over 50,000 commuters. The issue was discussed at a meeting held here on Tuesday. Officials of the authority and DMRC also discussed the alignment of the proposed Metro lines from Kalindi Kunj to Botanical Garden, and City Centre to Sector 62 (towards NH-24).The authority has allowed DMRC to use green belt at NH-24 where the last Metro station (on this route) will come up. This station will be in Sector 62. To avoid any damage to the greenery, DMRC will construct its yard on an elevated premise to park their coaches.“The yard will be built on the poles, which will be constructed in the green belt in such a manner as to avoid the damage to the green area along NH-24,” said the official.Track alignment issues of the proposed metro route also were resolved. “The the metro route between Kalindi to Botanical Garden will be constructed at a distance of 12 metres from the residential apartments in Sector 44. The earlier alignment would have caused problems to the residents,” said the officer. |
