Title - Merger of trains cancelled temporarily

South Western Railway has said in a release that its earlier notification on merging of train nos: 56239/56240 Birur- Shimoga Town–Birur Passenger with train nos: 56227/56228 Bangalore-Shimoga Town-Bangalore Passenger and revision of timings of train nos. 56227/56228with effect from July 1 should be treated as cancelled.In the release, SWR has said that the services of train nos. 56239/56240 Birur-Shimoga Town-Birur and train nos. 56227/56228 Bangalore-Shimoga Town- Bangalore town would continue to run as separate trains as per the existing timings till further notice.Accordingly, train no. 56239 Shimoga Town-Birur Passenger will depart from Shimoga at 8.10 a.m. and reach Birur at 9.55 a.m. In the return direction, train no. 56240 Birur-Shimoga Town Passenger will leave Birur at 5.45 p.m. and reach Shimoga at 7.35 p.m. the same day.Similarly, train no. 56228 Shimoga Town-Bangalore Passenger will leave Shimoga at 4 a.m. and arrive at Bangalore at 11.20 a.m. the same day. In the return direction, train no. 56227 Bangalore-Shimoga Town Passenger will leave Bangalore at 4.45 p.m. and reach Shimoga at 11.55 p.m. the same day.
