Title - Mega hit during Megablock between Matunga and Mulund stations

Megablock imposed by Central railway on Sunday (January 29) took a toll on rail traffic. Not only it caused great inconvenience to passengers but it resulted in unexpected delays in arrival of trains at Mumbai CST.

The worst hit were long distant trains as all express and mail services were diverted on Up slow line between Matunga and Mulund stations. Every diverted train arrived atleast 20 minutes behind their schedule during the block. The block was imposed from 11:20AM to 04:20PM for maintenance of overhead equipment, signalling system etc.

For passengers of Dadar - Ratnagiri Passenge, Special suburban services were run on Sunday from Diva. The special local train departed from Dadar at 3.40 pm, reached Thane at 4.06 pm and arrived at Diva at 4.13 pm.
