Title - Meet WAG -12 - the first and most powerful Indigenous electric loco

WAG - 12 is the first Indian locomotive that has a power output of 12,000 horse power. Before WAG - 12; WAG - 9 was the most powerful electric loco with a power nearly half of WAG - 12. 
To make this locomotive, engineers joined two identical sections as one. This locomotive will be deployed to serve on Eastern Freight corridor. This locomotive can haul 6000 tons at 100 to 120 kmph.
