Title - Massive ticket checking drive by Eastern Railway

Eastern Railway has conducted a massive ticket checking drive on the stations that falls under its jurisdiction. This drive was conducted from November 17-23 in which as many as 42,750 Travellers were found without ticket or with improper ticket. During the drive Eastern Railway also got many unbooked luggage On train.

All the defaulters travelling on the train with improper ticket or without ticket were fined heavily and from passengers carrying unbooked luggage an amount of Rs.84,06,832 was realised as fare and fine.

Eastern Railway has also notified that such a vigourous drives will be conducted on a continuous basis to curb out ticketless travelling and carrying of unbooked luggage.
