Title - Link your Aadhaar number to your IRCTC account and book up to 12 railway tickets a month

In a move to encourage passengers to link their Aadhaar numbers to their online IRCTC account; Railway has rolled out a plan in which Aadhaar number verified passengers can book up to 12 tickets per month Online. This plan will be effective from October 26 and is believed to be an innovative way to encourage passengers. However those passengers who are not willing to link their Aadhaar numbers from there IRCTC account will be able to continue to book up to 6 tickets a month.

To link Aadhaar number the user have to click on Aadhaar KYC under the my profile category. In the category the user can update their Aadhaar number. Ones Aadhaar number is submitted a one-time password will be sent to the mobile number linked to Aadhaar which the user has to enter for verfication.
