Title - Last minute 10% discount on tickets of Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Durunto

Railway has now introduced flexi pricing in negative direction for Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Durunto. All the trains that belongs to above mentioned categories are priced according to flexi fare scheme. Under flexi fare there is surge in ticket price after 10% of tickets are sold from the total allotted quota. This has led to fall in ticket bookings on premium trains of Indian Railways as passengers are staying away from these trains due to high pricing.

Now festive season is over and seats are going vacant. This has forced Indian railways to introduce such flexi fare method that can also offer tickets of these trains on discounted rates.

As per trial basis, for more than five month starting from December 15 to May 31 next year railways will offer a 10% discount on the remaining seats prior to charting. This discount will offered over the price of last ticket sold.

These tickets will be available on all current counters and also through e-ticketing. Passengers can buy these ticket through current counters or through IRCTC also upto 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train.
