Title - Ladies only coach a big hit in Manas Rhino Passenger

After receiving good response by women in the Manas Rhino Passenger train, 'ladies only' coaches in other local trains may soon be increased by North Frontier Railway (NFR) authorities. However, demand and number of footfall will the main decision making factor. 

It must be noted that in NFR, Manas Rhino Passenger is the only train in Assam that runs with separate ladies coach. Introduced few months back, the response from female passengers has been tremendous. 

Railway authorities say that Manas Rhino Passenger always runs to its full capacity therefore in other trains number of regular ladies commuters will certainly be considered before any decision on introducing ladies only coach.

“RPF and GRP have dealt sternly with such cases and many men have been apprehended for boarding the ladies compartment. Some of the cases may be due to lack of knowledge about the presence of the reserved compartment. But RPF and GRP have not taken any chances and violators have been arrested and penalised,” said an official.
