Title - Kozhikode Railway completes 125 years, celebration on Nov 14

Kozhikode Railway Institute will conduct a quiz and logo designing competition as part of the 125th year celebration of Kozhikode Railway station on November 14 at Kozhikode in Railway Institute.

This will be the curtain raiser for 125 year celebration of Kozhikode Railway station, a railway press release said here.

In the quiz competition, students studying in standard eight to twelve can participate. This quiz is named as 'Rail Quest-2012'. Subject for the quiz will be 'Rail Travel and Tourism and General Awareness about Indian Railways. One school can send one team consisting of two students. The schools in Kozhikode district can participate in the quiz competition. Sri Sankaracharya Computer Centre, Kozhikode, will be sponsoring the Rail Quest- 2012.

The Centre people will approach the school authorities for participating in the quiz competition. The interested school may also contact the Secretary of Kozhikode Railway Institute. Logo designing and captioning competition will also be conducted by the Institute. The subject will be 125th year of Kozhikode railway station, heritage and legacy of Indian railways in public transportation. The logos design should reach the secretary, Railway Institute, Kozhikode on or before November 7.

Winner's of Quiz competition will rewarded in the function to be held at the institute on November 14, 'Children's Day. Winning logo will be released on the same day and the winner will be honoured in the function. On the same day there will be stamp exhibition. The stamps related to Railways history will be exhibited.
