It's with great ecstasy that I share with you that the Corporation has received the coveted
Turnaround Trophy from BRPSE (Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises) for posting
profits 3 years in a row !! It is a matter of great pride for each one of us in Konkan Railway, for it shows
that we are going in the right direction and it will act as a beacon of light for performing even better.
Konkan Railway received the most prestigious Turnaround Trophy from Board for Reconstruction of
Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE) for the posting profits three years in a row with its meticulous
business strategies and austerity measures.
We are happy to inform that "KONKANRAILWAYSTAFFWELFARE FUND" has been registered as a Trust
in Sub Registrar Office, Thane District vide Registration No.02105/ 2012 dated 29.06.2012 to extend
better welfare activities in KRCL.

Promotion
Promotions done in Mechanical department 18 numbers, Engineering department 8 numbers, medical
department 02 numbers.
Earnings from freight in the month of June 2012 was Rs.26.92 Crores.
Punctuality of Passenger Train services during the month was 90%.
Special Services : 34 summer special trains were run during June 2012.
Safety workshops for Patrolmen, Stationery Watchmen ,Trackmen etc. were ar ranged at
KANKAWALI, RATNAGIRI, and CHIPLUN from 06 - 08 JUNE 2012, wherein total 137 staff /
Supervisor s had par ticipated and they were counseled by ASO, AOM/ Safety/ BLP along with
concerned branch officer s of the region .In workshop ,emphasis was given on keen monitor ing of
vulnerable locations, warning indications of potential unusual occur rences, Types of
emergencies & protection techniques, significance of exchanging the pr ivate number & pre-
