Title - Konkan Railway organises vigilance study circle meet

In a bid to improve corporate governance and promote transparency in public work, the Konkan Railway (KR) had organised a meeting of vigilance study circle recently. According to an official release here today, the eighth meeting of Vigilance Study Circle, Mumbai Chapter (VSC-M) was held at the Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd's (KRCL) Corporate Office at CBD Belapur, which was inaugurated by its managing director Bhanu Prakash Tayal. The objective of Vigilance Study Circle is to spread vigilance awareness and develop a networked pool of knowledge and skills of Vigilance professionals. Also, it is an endeavour to strengthen the hands of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) in improving corporate governance and promote transparency in public works. Vigilance Study Circle is a platform for Vigilance Officers to exchange their views and experiences so as to create synergy and work in a combined focused way to achieve the same.

It was attended by Chief Vigilance Officers of various PSUs covering Railways, Banking, Insurance, Petroleum, Shipping, Port, Airlines, Nuclear power, Chemicals and Fertilizers sectors and others, the release added.
