Title - Knee joint replacement workshop held at Central Railway Hospital, Hubballi

A knee joint replacement workshop was held at Central Hospital, Hubballi during 41st Annual conference of Karnataka Orthopaedic Association. During workshop demonstration of live surgery on railway female patient was done by Dr.Bhandarkar & Dr.Mohan Tukade.

After surgery chief medical director spoke to gathering and said osteoarthritis is becoming very common and is a crippling disease affecting elderly population. Treatment of osteoarthritis can only be done by knee joint replacement which is the final treatment.

From all over Karnataka and South India about 50 orthopaedic surgeons attended the workshop.

Indian Orthopaedic Association also visited work shop and expressed happiness about participation in huge numbers by delegates.
