Title - Kharge urged to improve facilities to Bellary-Hospet

A delegation from Hospet met Minister for Railways Mallikarjun Kharge, during his official visit to Hubli on Wednesday, and urged him to improve rail facilities to Bellary-Hospet-Koppal section.

In a memorandum submitted to Mr. Kharge, delegation members drew the former’s attention to the neglect towards Bellary-Hospet-Koppal section in getting new trains and rail facilities.Direct train

Introduction of a direct train service between Chennai and Mumbai, via Bellary-Hospet-Koppal; inter-city train between Hospet and Bangalore for the benefit of tourists visiting Hampi, via Bellary and Raidurg; re-introduction of the Bijapur-Bellary-Dharmavaram train, which was plying prior to the unigauge project, to link the two world heritage sites – Hampi and Pattadakal – besides providing a direct link between Bellary and Bijapur were some of the demands put forth.
