Members of various organisations staged a protest here on Monday demanding strict action against the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists who allegedly assaulted 98 labourers besides evicting them from a train here on August 29.The agitators staged a dharna outside the Mandya Railway Station and raised slogans against the ABVP. Criticising the alleged attack on the labourers on the Yeshwantpur-Kannur Express on August 29, the protesters demanded that the State government initiate strict action against the culprits. — Staff Correspondent
