Title - Karjat – Neral trial run at 120kmph successfully done

Central Railway successfully completed a 120kmph trial run on Karjat - Neral tracks. The trail run was conducted to make sure that railway tracks between Karjat and Neral can withstand high speed trains in near future.

This corridor serves to Pune and south bound trains with current maximum speed of 110kmph. Apart from run, inspection of tunnels and bridges are also done over Mumbai – Pune route.

According to a senior railway officer, the inspections were done randomly to check whether all the safety measures are in place or not.

Similar inspection were carried over suburban sections with emphasis on inspection of tracks.
