Title - Jodhpur tops in Railway Cleanliness survey

In the latest third-party audit-cum-survey done by Quality Council of India (QCI) of Railway Station cleanliness, Jodhpur came out on the top while Modi's constituency Varanasi slipped from 14 to 69. According to a cleanliness audit by the government released Varanasi is now among the least cleaned station in A-1 cateogry. Varanasi in 2018 scored 687.7 down from 763.3 in2017.

QCI covers all the areas under the survey such as toilets, platforms, waiting rooms, foot over brideges, parking lot apart from station itself. Last year Vishakhapatnam came out on the top and this year it slipped to 10 while Tirupati jumped 19 ranks and secured third spot. For Tirupati this is a huge achievement as the station sees pretty heavy footfall of devotees. Second spot is bagged by Jaipur station.

In category A stations, Ayodhya slipped to 328 from 185 last year and is now among the worst while Shahganj ranked 332 and is the least clean station among 407 audited. Apart from Ayodhya, Mathura that sees frequent rush of devotees is also among the least clean station among major 75 stations.

New Delhi stood at 39, Howrah at 71 down from 56, Mumbai Central this year is down to 40 from 27, Mumbai CST is up to 13 from 44 and Chennai central secured 39th position a jump from 49 last year.
