Title - Jaipur-Mathura train flagged off

Jaipur: Now the Pink City has been permanently connected with Mathura via a rail link.

Lok Sabha member from Jaipur, Dr Mahesh Joshi on Wednesday flagged off the Jaipur-Mathura Express train from Jaipur railway station.

The Congress MP also flagged off the Jaipur-Udaipur Express train, which will render additional connectivity between the Pink City and the Lake City Udaipur, which are already connected via a night train service. The first train 51974 Jaipur-Mathura Junction train which was earlier being run as Mathura-Bandikui train, but extended during holiday season to Jaipur will now shuttle as a regular train between Mathura and Jaipur.

It will depart from Mathura at 6.55 am and reach Jaipur at 1.25 pm and make the return journey from Jaipur at 1.45 pm to reach Mathura at 8 pm.

The second train, Jaipur-Udaipur Express which earlier operated between Udaipur and Ajmer, but was extended to Jaipur during the holiday season, will now be regular train connecting Jaipur and Udaipur.

The train which will daily depart from Jaipur at 2 pm and reach Udaipur at 9.30 pm will make the return trip at 6.15 am from Udaipur to reach Jaipur at 1.50 pm.
