கோட்டார் ரெயில் நிலையத்திலிருந்து திருவனந்தபுரம் மார்க்கமாக செல்லும் குருவாயூர் மற்றும் மும்பை எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரெயில்கள் தாமதமானாலும் அங்கு புறப்பட்டு சென்றதால் அந்த வழியாக கேரளா செல்லும் பயணிகள் அந்த ரெயில்களில் ஏறிச்சென்று விட்டனர்.

ஆனால் திருநெல்வேலி மார்க்கமாக செல்ல வேண்டிய பயணிகளுக்கு ரெயில்வே அதிகாரிகள் எந்த ஏற்பாடும் செய்யவில்லை. இதனால் நெல்லை மற்றும் அதை சுற்றியுள்ள நகரங்களில் வேலைக்கு செல்லும் ஊழியர்கள் பெரிதும் அவதிக்கு ஆளானார்கள்.

அவர்கள், ரெயில்வே அதிகாரிகளை முற்றுகையிட்டு வாக்குவாதத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். இதனால் ரெயில் நிலையத்தில் பெரும் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.

இந்த தகவல் அறிந்து ஹெலன்டேவிட்சன் எம்.பி.யும் ரெயில்நிலையத்திற்கு வந்து அதிகாரிகளுடன் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தினார். அவர்கள் உயர் அதிகாரிகளை தொடர்பு கொள்ளும்படி கூறியதால் அவர், திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் உள்ள உயர் அதிகாரிகளை செல்போனில் தொடர்பு கொண்டார்.

ஆனால் எந்த அதிகாரியையும் தொடர்பு கொள்ள முடியவில்லை. இதுபற்றி ஹெலன் டேவிட்சன் எம்.பி. கூறியதாவது:–

கோட்டார் ரெயில் நிலைய பிரச்சினைகளை பேசி தீர்க்க பலமுறை முயற்சி மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறோம். ஆனால் உயர் அதிகாரிகள் இதற்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு அளிப்பது இல்லை. இதனால் பயணிகளுக்கு பெரும் பாதிப்பு ஏற்படுகிறது.

அதிகாரிகள் ஒத்துழைததால்தான் பிரச்சினை முடிவுக்கு வரும். இதுபற்றி மீண்டும் நான் உயர் அதிகாரிகளை சந்தித்து புகார் செய்வேன்.

4 FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN MUMBAI AND HATIA

Railways have decided to run 4 Festival Special trains between Mumbai and Hatia to clear the extra rush of Passengers during Festival Season. The details of 4 additional festival special trains are as under:-

A) SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN MUMBAI AND HATIA VIA NAGPUR

Train No. 01085 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 00.30 hrs o­n 6.10.2013 and will arrive Hatia at 06.30 hrs next day.

Train No. 01086 Special will leave Hatia at 22.45 hrs o­n 7.10.2013 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 08.15 hrs o­n third day.

COMPOSITION: o­ne AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 3 General Second Class and 2 general second class cum guard’s brake vans.

B) SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN MUMBAI AND HATIA

Train No. 01087 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 00.30 hrs o­n 13.10.2013 and will arrive Hatia at 06.30 hrs next day.

Train No. 01088 Special will leave Hatia at 22.45 hrs o­n 14.10.2013 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 08.15 hrs o­n third day.

COMPOSITION: o­ne First AC cum AC-2 Tier, o­ne AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 5 General Second Class and 2 general second class cum guard’s brake vans.

HALTS FOR BOTH SPECIALS: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela.

The 18101 Tata Nagar- Jammu Tawi
Express train will reach Ray station at 08.22
p.m., while in the return direction, the
18102 Jammu Tawi- Tata Nagar Express
train will reach Ray station at 04.09 a.m.
with two minutes stoppage in both the
directions from 02.10.2013 .
The other features like route,
composition etc. will remain as
unchanged.

SCR Makes Available 2.4 Lakhs Additional Reserved Berths / Seats Through Originating Special Trains and Augmentation of Coaches in October, 2013

South Central Railway has initiated several measures to smoothly handle the rush of passengers inthe ensuing Dassera festival season during the month of October, 2013, as detailed below:-
1) Running of 137 Special Trains: SCR has already announced 101 originating Special Trains to be run during the month of October, 2013. In addition, 36 special trains will be passing through SCR during this period.Thus, the services of 137 special trains would be available for the passengers o­n SCR, apart from around 700 regular trains being run every day. It signifies a growth of 47% in the number of special trains being operated in Oct.2013 compared to Oct.2012, when 93 special trains were run(79 originating and 14 passing through).
These special trains will be operated o­n busy sectors, especially linking twin cities to various popular destinations such as Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Renigunta, Mumbai, Kolkata, Nagercoil, Guwahati, Mangalore, Kollam etc. In addition, special trains will also be run between Tirupati and Aurangabad also. Theoriginating special trains will provide reserved berths / seats for around 1,11,872 extra passengers during October, 2013. Moreover, these special trains can cater to thousands of unreserved passengers also by way of travel in the general coaches.
2) Temporary Augmentation of Coaches: Based o­n an analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile o­n various routes, temporary augmentation of composition of several Express trains is being done by attaching additional coaches.
During October, 2013, SCR will attach 1088 extra coachesby way oftemporary augmentation to many popular Express Trainsrunning o­n routes like Secunderabad-Tirupati; Hyderabad-Tirupati; Hyderabad-Narasapur; Hyderabad-Trivandram; Kacheguda-Yesvantpur; Kachiguda-Chitoor; Kacheguda-Chennai Egmore; Kacheguda-Akola; Tirupati-Machilipatnam; Tirupati-Karimnagar; Kakinada Town-Bangalore; H.S. Nanded - Mumbai; H.S.Nanded-Pune; Guntur-Vikakrabad; Secunderabad-Hazrat Nizamuddin and Tirupati-Hazrat Nizamuddin etc. These extra coaches include 41 AC First Class, 45 AC Two Tier, 70 AC Three Tier, 164 AC Chair Car, 552 Sleeper Class and 80 Second Class Chair Car Coaches and will generate additional reserved accommodation to clear around 1,32,158 extra passengers. These additional coaches have already been fed into the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) and are available to the public for making reservations.
3) Attaching extra Coaches o­n a day-to-day basis: In addition to temporary augmentation of coaches as mentioned above, the waitlist position for different classes in various trains o­n busy routes is also being closely monitored o­n a daily basis.Extra coaches to the extent possible are being attached to the trains, which have long waiting list to help clear the waitlisted passengers o­n the travel day.
All the available resources are being put to maximum use to increase the number of trains/coaches so as to enhance the passenger carrying capacityon Railway system.
Through the above steps, around 2.4 lakhs additional passengers will get benefited with reserved accommodation o­n SCR’s originating /terminating trains, apart from thousands of other passengers travelling in the general coaches of the special trains during the month of October, 2013.

पुरुलिया : पुरुलिया के यात्रियों को सुविधा प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से रूपसी बांग्ला सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन को रेलवे ने हावड़ा तक संप्रसारित कर दिया है। पूर्व में इसे सांतरागाछी तक चलाने का एलान किया गया था। बाघमुंडी विधायक नेपाल महतो ने रेलवे को इस फैसले को बदलने के लिए राष्ट्रपति को ज्ञापन भेजा था। रेलवे ने पहली अक्टूबर से इस ट्रेन को हावड़ा तक संप्रसारित करने का निर्णय लिया है, जिससे यात्रियों में हर्ष है।

मथुरा: रेलवे गौरवशाली अतीत को यादगार बनाये रखने के लिये एतिहासिक धरोहरों को संजोएगा। धरोहरों को चिन्हित करने के लिये कमेटी गठित होगी।
रेलवे के सभी मंडलों के पास भवन, पुल और मशीन का भंडार है। जिन धरोहरों को उठा कर संग्रहालय में नहीं ले जाया जा सकेगा, उनके फोटो संग्रहालय में लगाए जाएंगे, ताकि लोग रेलवे की एतिहासिक धरोहरों से रूबरू हो सकें। इन धरोहरों में इलाहाबाद वर्कशॉप की दो चिमनियां, नेरोगेज रेलवे लाइन आदि को भी शामिल किया जायेगा। गठित होने वाली कमेटियां अपर मंडल प्रबंधक के नेतृत्व में धरोहरों के रख-रखाव और बचाने का कार्य करेंगी। पीआरओ भूपेंदर ढिल्लन का कहना है कि एतिहासिक धरोहरों का चयन कमेटी द्वारा किया जाएगा। धरोहरों को सहेजने के लिए आगरा सिटी में संग्रहालय बनाया जाना है।

A northern zone anti-rail convention will be organised by the action committees of the Kannur, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, and Malappuram districts along with the Mahe committee at Sangamam auditorium, Thalassery, on October 2.Massive protests against the rail corridor were being planned and it was been decided to hold demonstrations at the Thalassery and Dharmadam village offices on October 5, the district action committee office bearers said at a press meet here on Monday.The rail corridor would result in displacement of 60,000 families apart from ruining major cultural centres, places of worship, and educational institutions.It would also affect the eco balance, dividing the State into two separate zones.

As per the feasibility study report, no new constructions including that of educational institutions and hospitals were allowed within a kilometre of the track. The project benefitted just 0.5 per cent of the population at an estimated cost of Rs.1.18 lakh crore, thus imposing a great financial burden.
