You may find it as a strange war of words between Railway and the Commissioner Railway safety (CRS) but it is real.

Indian railway had conducted successful trial runs of Talgo between Delhi and Mumbai in laden and unladen condition. The trial run showed that journey between Delhi and Mumbai can be cut down by a significant four hrs as Talgo completed the total journey in just under 12 hrs (11 hrs 50 minutes precisely).

Rajdhani Express completes the journey in 16 hrs as it cannot attain top speeds as compared to Talgo. Also Talgo being lighter can manage good composure at turns where it can de-accelerate late and accelerate fast than compared to coaches used in Rajdhani Express.

All this trial work CRS says were ‘illegal’. The whole trial was illegal as stated by CRS now. The body says that Railway must seek permission and clearances from CRS before conducting any such trials as a part of standard procedure which had been done during the trial run of Talgo.

However railway says that since the trial run of Talgo did not involve passengers therefore Railway never sought any clearance from CRS. Also in near future whether any permission will be sought from CRS from such trials it is yet to be decided.

उत्तर रेलवे ने दिल्ली के पांच मुख्य स्टेशनों पर प्लेटफार्म टिकट बंद करने का फैसला कर लिया है| इस त्यौहार के मौसम में हो रही भीड़ को देखते हुए ये निर्देश जारी कर दिए गए हैं| 
27 नवम्बर से 5 अक्टूबर तक पुराणी दिल्ली, नई दिल्ली, सराय रोहिल्ला, हज़रात निजामुद्दीन और आनंद विहार पे प्लेटफार्म टिकट जारी नहीं किये जाएंगे|
रेलवे अधिकारियों ने बताया की उन लोगों को छूट दी जाएगी जो बूढ़े यात्री एंड महिला यात्री के साथ उन्हें ट्रेन में बिठाने आएँगे खासकर वो यातररि जिन्हें सहारे की जरूरत है|
दिवाली और छठ के त्यौहार जैसे जैसे पास आ रहे हैं भीड़ बढ़ती ही जा रही है|

In order to cope up from festive rush Northern Railways will not sell platform ticket from October 27 to November 5 at major stations that come under Delhi Division.

Old Delhi, Sarai Rohilla, Anand Vihar, New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin are the five major stations that offer connectivity to major cities directly. You will not be able to get platform tickets on these five stations on and between the given dates.

There is heavy rush due to Diwali and Chat pooja on all these five major stations in Delhi division. However, persons who will come to assist old or lady passengers to board train will be exempted from any kind of restriction.

While deploying flexi fare scheme Railway had great thoughts in mind, but the outcome was just unexpected. Once it was targeted that Railway will earn atleast 1000 crore more, once flexi fare scheme will be deployed on premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto but forget 1000 crore, just in the month of October railway lost 200 core.

Thee obvious question will rise why? Why a scheme in Airlines is so fruitful while in Railways it got backfired?

The first thing Railway never understood that Air travel was always a luxury for passengers who are ready to pay extra because it offers lot more convenience and save good amount of time while railway’s premium trains were never a luxury, they were just another of travelling more conveniently compared to other trains. Demanding fare equivalent to an aircraft or even more sometimes, without offering anything subsequent can never become lucrative.

Railway must understand that during festive period when rail traffic reach to its extreme, it also affects punctuality of premium trains adversely. Trains besides their running period of 16hrs to 33 hrs reach their destinations late by 45 minutes to upto 5 hrs in extreme case which is seriously unacceptable for passengers who paid a premium price.

Now with 232 crore rupee loss railway is wandering what just happened. They tried to compensate the loss happened due to decrease in freight through passenger trains with help of flexi fare but now at the end of the day they are losing their loyal passengers at brisk pace.

During winter season when Christmas starts there was always waitlist in Rajdhanis connecting Goa or Mumbai by now; this year its opposite, railway is waiting or passengers.

रेलवे ने फ्लेक्सी फेयर स्कीम अपने हो रहे घाटे को कम करने के लिए शुरू की थी पर इसके लागू होने के बाद से उलटा रेलवे को और ज्यादा ही नुकसान हो गया| निजी विमान कंपनियों की तरह रेलवे ने भी अपनी प्रीमियम ट्रेनों में फ्लेक्सी फारे स्कीम लागू कर दी थी जिसके अन्तर्गत राजधानी, शताब्दी और दुरंतो ट्रेनें आती है|
रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक सर्दियों की छुटियों के समय और खासकर क्रिसमस के समय राजधानी और शताब्दी जैसी ट्रेनों में ज्यादातर सीटें खाली हैं| जो ट्रेनें गोवा, केरल, मुंबई, कोलकाता, अमृतसर, लखनऊ और चेन्नई को जोड़ती हैं उनमे तो ज्यादातर सीटें खाली ही पड़ी हुई हैं|
रेलवे के आंकड़ों के अनुसार प्रीमियम ट्रेनों में सीट बुक करने की दर में 15 से 20 फीसदी तक की कमी आई है| इसका एक कारण एयरलाइन कंपनियां भी हैं जो ट्रेन से सस्ते टिकट उपलब्ध करा रही हैं; सामान्य तौर पर पिछले साल तक इन सभी ट्रेन में वेटिंग चलने लगती थी पर इस साल ऐसा नहीं है|
गोवा, कोच्चि और मुंबई के टिकट विमानन कंपनियां तीन हजार रूपए में ही दे रही हैं जो राजधानी के टिकेट से सस्ता भी पड़ रहा है और साथ ही यात्रियों का समय भी बच रहा है|
फ्लेक्सी फेयर में दस फीसदी टिकट बिक्री के बाद दस फीसदी किराई में बढ़ोतरी हो जाती है और अंतिम दस फीसदी सीट बचने पर टिकट डेढ़ गुना ज्यादा महँगा हो जाता है|
अधिकारियों की माने तो मुम्बई राजधान, अगस्त क्रांति, त्रिववेन्द्रम और सियालदह राजधानी में काफी सीटें खाली पड़ी हुई हैं जो सामान्य तौर पर भर जाती थी जिसकी वजह समय का ज्यादा लगना और टिकेट का महँगा हो जाना है|
1000 करोड़ की अतिरिक्त आय की उम्मीद रेलवे लिए बैठा था पर 200 करोड़ अकेले अक्टूबर में ही रेलवे ने गवां दिए और स्थिति आगे आने वाले समय में सुधरती नहीं दिख रही| माल भाड़े की कमी से जूझ रहा रेलवे यात्रियों की कमी से भी जल्दी ही जूझ सकता है अगर कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाये गए तो|

अगले साल होने वाले विधान सभा चुनाव को देखते हुए यूपी पर रेलवे की कुछ ज्यादा ही कृपा बरस रही है| पिछले ढाई साल से बीजेपी केंद्र के नेतृत्व में है और तबसे लेकर अबतक ५७ नई ट्रेनें दे चुका और इसके बाद भी अभी नौ और नई ट्रेनों की घोषणा अभी बाकी है|
रेलवे के अनुसार लोगों की मांग को देखते हुए नई ट्रेनों की घोषणा हो रही है| हाल ही में गोरखपुर से आनंदविहार के लिए भारत की पहली हमसफ़र ट्रेन चलेगी जिसके वातानुकूलित एसी -३ डिब्बों थोड़े अलग तरीके से बनाये गए है और आंतरिक सज्जा भी साधारण डिब्बों से अलग है| इस ट्रेन में यात्री सुरक्षा दृष्टिकोण से सीसीटीवी भी लगे होंगे |
इस ट्रेन के अलावा आगे कुछ दिनों में जो ट्रेनें चलने जा रही है वो हैं -
गोर्रखपुर-पनवेल, गोरखपुर-बंदर ट्रर्मिनस, गोरखपुर-बादशाहनगर इंटरसिटी, जौनपुर-बंदर ट्रर्मिनस, बलिया-आनंदविहार, गाजीपुर-कोलकाता, मुगलसराय-निजामुद्दीन वाया मथुरा 

रेलवे टिकटके इन्शुरन्स की तर्ज पर अब आपातकालीन स्थिति में एम्बुलेंस भी आपको जल्द ही किसी भी स्टेशन मर मिल सकेगी| अगर आप आईआरसीटीसी सी टिकट बुक करते हैं तो 92 पैसे में आप अपना इन्शुरन्स भी करा सकते हैं जो किसी भी दुर्घटना की स्थिति में आपको दस् लाख तक का कवर प्रदान करता है, इसी तरह एक रूपए में आप अपने लिए किसी आपातकालीन स्थिति के लिए एम्बुलेंस भी बुक कर सकते हैं|
रेलवे जल्द ही एम्बुलेंस सेवा उपलब्ध करने की तैयारी कर रहा है| यात्रा इन्शुरन्स की सफलता के बाद रेलवे इस सेवा को लेकर और भी गंभीर है| इसके लिए निजी कंपनियों से भी बात चल रही है जो अस्पतालों में मरीज उपलब्ध कराती है|
इस सेवा का लाभ देने के लिए रेलवे यात्रा इन्शुरन्स की ही तरह टिकट बुक करते समय विकल्प देगा, अगर आप एम्बुलेंस का भी विकल्प चुनते हैं तो आपको जो भी निर्धारित शुल्क होगा देना पड़ेगा, नहीं तो आप उसे छोड़ भी सकते हैं|
अभी की स्थिति में अगर कोई आपातकालीन स्थिति आती है तो डॉक्टर खोजना पड़ता है, नहीं तो किसी बड़े स्टेशन का इंतज़ार करना पड़ता है जिससे कभी कभी गंभीर परेशानी खड़ी हो जाती है|
रेलवे इसे कमाई का भी अच्छा स्रोत मान रहा है|

मारकोना में कल आंदोलन के चलते खरगपुर डिवीज़न में ओड़िसा मारकोना की उर्फ आने और जाने वाली सभी गाड़ियां पर असर पड़ा | आंदोलन कारी ट्रेनों के ठहराव बढ़ाने और कुछ सवारी गाड़ियों के विस्तार की मांग कर रहे थे | सुबह सात बजकर पैंतालीस मिनट से आंदोलन कारी रेलवे ट्रैक पर जमा हो गए और शाम चार बजे के बाद तक वही जमे रहे|

Central Railway will block the harbour line today to carry out maintenance work. Services on Down harbour line that connects to Vashi / Belapur /Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai will remain close from 11.21 am to 4.39 pm; while to that of Bandra/Andheri Leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus will remain close from 10.38 am to 4.43 pm.

Services to Up harbour line that connects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi will remain suspended from 9.52 am to 3.26 pm while to that of Bandra/Andheri will remain suspended from 10.44 am to 4.13 pm.

Central Railway has announced a nine hour mega block at Diva Station to cut the existing Up Fast line track to slew new alignment on CST and Kalyan end.

Fast locals for CST leaving Kalyan from 08.33 hrs to 17.45 hrs will run on slow line between Kalyan and Thane. Fast locals will also stop on every station between Kalyan and Thane.

Similarly down locals will also run on slow line between Thane and Kalyan from 08.29 AM to 16.45PM.

Apart from locals long distance trains will also be affected during the block period and will arrive atleast 20 minutes late while suburban services will remain cancelled during block.

Up Mail Express trains will also be diverted to slow track due to which there will be delay of atleast 30 minutes.
