मुंबई - चर्चगेटला जाणारी लोकल तांत्रिक बिघाडामुळे अंधेरी स्थानकात बंद पडल्याने आज दुपारी पश्‍चिम रेल्वेची वाहतूक कोलमडली. या गोंधळामुळे गाड्या नियोजित वेळेपेक्षा 20 ते 25 मिनिटे उशिराने धावत होत्या.

अप स्लो मार्गावरील ही लोकल अंधेरी स्थानकात आल्यानंतर दुपारी 1.25 च्या सुमारास बंद पडली. त्यामुळे या मार्गावरील वाहतूक काही वेळ ठप्प झाली होती. स्लो मार्गावरून चर्चगेटला जाणाऱ्या लोकल खोळंबल्या होत्या. रेल्वेच्या दुरुस्ती पथकाने अर्ध्या तासानंतर हा मार्ग वाहतुकीसाठी मोकळा केला. दरम्यानच्या काळात अप स्लो मार्गावरील लोकल अप जलद मार्गावरून चालविण्यात आल्या. त्यामुळे वाहतुकीचे वेळापत्रक विस्कळित झाले. लोकल नियोजित वेळेपेक्षा उशिराने धावत होत्या. त्याचा फटका प्रवाशांना बसला.

புதுவையில் இருந்து வாரந்தோறும் செவ்வாய், புதன், ஞாயிறு ஆகிய 3 நாட்கள் மும்பை தாதருக்கு செல்லக்கூடிய புதுச்சேரி& தாதர் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரயில் (எண்.11006) வழக்கமாக இரவு 8.15 மணிக்கு புதுச்சேரியில் இருந்து புறப்படும். இனி இந்த ரயில் இரவு 8.30 மணிக்கு புறப்பட்டு செல்லும்.

புதுச்சேரியில் இருந்து யஷ்வந்த்பூருக்கு சனிக்கிழமை தோறும் செல்லும் ஹரிபிரத் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரயில் (எண்.12255) வழக்கமாக இரவு 10 மணிக்கு புதுச்சேரியில் இருந்து புறப்பட்டு செல்லும். இனி இந்த ரயில் 1 மணி நேரம் முன்கூட்டியே, அதாவது இரவு 9 மணிக்கு புதுச்சேரியில் இருந்து புறப்பட்டு செல்லும். சென்னையில் இருந்து புதுச்சேரிக்கு தினசரி இரவு 10 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும் சென்னை&புதுச்சேரி எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரயில், இனிமேல், இரவு 10.30 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும். மறுமார்க்கமாக, சென்னை எழும்பூரில் இருந்து தினசரி மாலை 6 மணிக்கு புறப்படுவதற்கு பதிலாக மாலை 6.30 மணிக்கு புறப்படும்.

இந்த தகவலை புதுச்சேரி ரயில் நிலைய மேலாளர் பாலகிருஷ்ணன் தெரிவித்தார்.

कोटा। बिना टिकट और निम्न श्रेणी के टिकट पर उच्च श्रेणी में यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों की धरपकड़ के लिए शुक्रवार को रेलवे सतर्कता दल ने जयपुर-मुंबई सुपरफास्ट ट्रेन में छापा मारा। इस ट्रेन में जयपुर मंडल का स्टाफ ड्यूटी पर था।


जांच के दौरान दो निरीक्षकों के पास निर्घारित मापदण्डों से ज्यादा राशि मिली। सूत्रों के अनुसार इस दौरान बिना आईडी के सफर करते हुए एक यात्री पकड़ा गया। विजिलेंस ने उसे बिना टिकट मानते हुए जुर्माना वसूला। विवाद की संभावना के चलते कोटा स्टेशन पर ट्रेन के पहुंचने पर रेलवे सुरक्षा बल के जवान भी इस कोच पर गए, लेकिन यात्री ने उनके पहंुचने से पहले ही जुर्माना भर दिया।

स्टील एक्सप्रेस के यात्रियों को ज्यादा से ज्यादा सुविधा देने पर रेलवे विचार कर रहा है। पिछले दिनों दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे के वर्क शॉप में तैयार नयी पैंट्री कार चक्रधरपुर मंडल को सौंपी गई। चक्रधरपुर मंडल के सीनियर डीसीएम एके हलदर ने बताया कि अत्याधुनिक सुविधाओं से लैस पैंट्री कार को टाटा-हावड़ा स्टील एक्सप्रेस में लगाने पर विचार किया जा रहा है। मालूम हो कि स्टील एक्सप्रेस में कई वर्षो से पैंट्री कार लगी हुई है। पैंट्री कार की डिजाइन काफी पुरानी है। टाटानगर के यात्रियों को ज्यादा से ज्यादा सुविधाएं प्रदान करने के लिए पुरानी पैंट्री कार को हटाकर नयी पैंट्री कार लगाने पर विचार किया जा रहा है।

Train number 12402 Magadh Express will arrive at Allahabad railway junction at 5:05 am and depart at 5:13 am. Its earlier arrival time was 5:10 am and departure time was 5:20 am. Train number 12988 Ajmer-Sealdah Express will now arrive at 2:23 am and depart at about 2:43 am. Its earlier arrival time was 2:28 am and departure time was 2:43 am.

Train number 12295 Bangalore City-Patna Sanghamitra Express will arrive at Mirzapur station at 3:05 am and depart at 3:10 am.

At Kanpur station, train number 12402 Magadh Express will now arrive at 3:30 am and depart at 3:35 am, train number 12562 Swatantra Senani Express will arrive at 2:45 am and leave the station at 2:50 am. Train number 12312 Kalka Mail will now arrive at 2:20 pm and depart at 2:25 pm. Train number 12250 Yuva Express will arrive at 00:27 am and depart at 00:32 am. Train number 12260 Duranto Express will now arrive at Kanpur station at 00:27 and depart at 00:32 am.

Train number 51824 Farukhabad-Allahabad passenger will now depart from Kanpur at 2:40 pm instead of its earlier departure time of 3:20 pm.

At Aligarh station, train number 14723 Kalindi Express will now arrive at 2:15 am and depart at 2:20 am. Train number 12427 Rewa-Anand Vihar Terminal will arrive at 3:35 am and depart at 3:40 am. Train number 12417 Prayag Raj Express will arrive at Aligarh station at 4:15 am and depart at 4:18 am. Train number 12225 Kaifyat Express will now arrive at 4:40 am, train number 22405/12569 Gharib Rath Express will arrive at 6:12 am, train number 18101 Moorie Express at 5:50 pm, train number 14006 Lichchavi Express at 7:00 pm and train number 22406/12570 Gharib Rath at about 6:21 pm.

Highlighting the Scientific and Technological Developments, Exhibition o­n Wheels “Science Express” will again chug into Cuttack city o­n 5th July 2013 in its 6th phase exhibition. This Exhibition will be opened for public from 11.00a.m to 05.00p.m from 5th to 8th July 2013.
Science Express, the exhibition train modeled by Rashtriya Vigyan Evam Prodyogiki Sanchar Parishad (RVPSP), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India has been developed to encourage talented youths to understand the excitement of careers in teaching & research in different disciplines of science.
This “Science Express” train is fully air-conditioned, consisting of 13 Exhibition coaches, two power cars and o­ne staff car has been developed for students pursuing science at the Senior Secondary level and Research students which will take three hours time for viewing the displays. The major objective of this Indo-German joint venture Science Express is to nurture curiosity amongst the youths & rekindle their waning interest in science.
After completion of exhibition at Cuttack, this train will also be exhibited at Bolangir from 9th to 11thJuly, Rayagada from 12th to 14th July and at Visakhapatnam from 15th to 18th July 2013.

Kochi: There is a growing demand for rebuilding the South railway overbridge though the Kochi Metro Rail Ltd has not included widening of the bridge in the list of preparatory works of Kochi metro.

The suggestion to rebuild the overbridge was debated over by the participants of a recent meeting convened by KMRL to discuss the key infrastructure projects to be taken up along with metro works to minimise traffic bottlenecks in the city. Local residents and urban planners demand that the overbridge be widened soon as once the metro rail lines are completed in this area, the bridge can never be reconstructed.

“There is an urgent need to widen the South RoB as traffic flow has been increasing every year. With new roads like Ambedkar Marg connecting Thevara to Panampilly Nagar, traffic has increased over the bridge.

If KMRL is not willing to take up the project, it should be handed over to agencies like Kerala Road Fund Board or Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala as the corporation may not be able to undertake it,” said Gopakumar, president of the Better Kochi Response Group.

Though there was a proposal to widen the overbridge into four lanes, side by side with the metro work, it didn’t materialise. The corporation had earlier requested KMRL to take up the project. The DMRC had done a soil test to inspect the feasibility of widening the overbridge.

Earlier, KMRL had put forward a proposal to the Railways and the state government saying that that once the viaduct was constructed, no reconstruction would be possible and hence it was the right time to consider rebuilding the RoB along with the metro project.

However, disapproving the demand for widening the overbridge, a civic administrator said that with the opening of other railway overbridges, traffic flow through the South RoB would be diverted through alternate routes. “As widening of bridges and roads is difficult in the city where land is scarce, proper management of traffic and encouraging public transport would be more effective,” he said.

Students and passengers who  depart from and arrive at the Hindu College station, near Pattabiram are facing trouble in crossing the railway tracks, since there is no foot over bridge above the mainline.

Hindu College station is located on the stretch from Chennai Central to Arakkonam Suburban Railway Network, close to the college which has around 6,000 students. Everyday the station witnesses the departure and arrival of hundreds of passengers who include officegoers, students  and other general commuters.

All of them are compelled to cross the railway tracks in order to reach the other side of the station, since there is no foot over bridge.

Speaking to City Express, R Chandra Sekaran, a resident of Pattabiram, said, “The foot over bridge that is  seen at the station was constructed in the year 2008. But it connects only the first and the second suburban platforms. There is no foot over bridge that connects the suburban platforms with the mainline.” He added, “However, people do not use the foot over bridge to get to the other side of the suburban platforms. Most of the passengers cross the track to reach the adjacent platforms. Also, the passengers have to cross the mainline to reach the other side of the station. The existing foot over bridge does not have an extension above the mainline.”

Talking about how the lack of the foot over bridge facility has been fatal, Sekaran claimed that the station had witnessed many accidents in the past .

The Zonal Railway Consultive Committee official  said, “The problem has been brought before us in the past. The railway officials have designed it in such a way that the foot over bridge connects only the first and second platforms of slowline.”

“We have written to the officials concerned and  have been raising this issue everytime during the departmental meetings, asking for another foot over bridge in the station that covers the fastline. But till now no action has been taken,” he added.
