South Central Railway has communicated this Railway that they have augmented Train Nos. 17209/17210 KAKINADA TOWN-BANGALORE CITY-KAKINADA TOWN EXPRESS with o­nEadditionalAC 3-Tiercoach o­n temporary measure for clearance of extra rushfrom 25thto 31stJuly, 2013, as per the following details:--
Train N0.17209 KAKINADA TOWN-BANGALORE CITY EXPRESS runs with o­nE additional AC 3-tier coach temporarily from KAKINADA endfrom 24th to 31st July, 2013 and in the return direction, Train No. 17210 BANGALORE CITY-KAKINADA TOWN EXPRESS runs with o­nE additional AC 3-tier coach temporarily from BANGALORE CITY end from 25th to31st July, 2013.
The revised composition is total : 19 coaches (instead of 18 coaches), consisting of Three AC 3-tier coaches, Two AC 2-tier coaches, Nine Second Class Sleeper Coaches, Three General Second Class coaches and Two Second Class luggage-cum-brake vans.
PERMANENT AUGMENTATION OF CHAMUNDI EXPRESS WITH 02 GENERALSECOND CLASS CHAIR CARDS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT :--
South Western Railway has decided to attach 02 additional General Second Class Chair Cars permanentlybyTrain Nos. 16215/16216 MYSORE-BANGALORE-MYSORE CHAMUNDI EXPRESS with immediate effect.
The revised composition is total : 20 coaches (instead of 18 coaches), consisting of One AC Chair Car, Seventeen General Second Class (sitting) Cars & o­ne General Second Classluggage-cum-disabled coach.
WITHDRAWAL OF o­nE GENERAL SECOND CLASS COACH FROM TRAIN Nos. 12607/12607 CHENNAI-BANGALORE CITY-CHENNAI LALBAGH EXPRESS & TRAIN Nos. 12609/12610 CHENNAI-BANGALORE CITY-CHENNAI EXPRESS WITH EFFECT FROM 01ST AUGUST, 2013:

One General Second Class will be withdrawn temporarilyfrom the existing composition of Train Nos. 12607/12608 CHENNAI-BANGALORE CITY-CHENNAI LALBAGH EXPRESSand TRAIN NOs. 12609/12610 CHENNAI-BANGALORE CITY-CHENNAI EXPRESS to facilitate maintenance at Pit line No.2 at Bangalore City Station, duly making the composition from 21 to 20 coaches., with effect from 01st August, 2013.

SURAT: Next time you are at the railway station, think twice before spitting and littering the platforms. Chances are that you may end up paying a fine up to Rs 500 to the railway squad.Authorities at Surat railway station have launched a cleanliness drive to keep the platforms and railway tracks clean. In the last two days, more than 40 persons have been fined for littering and spitting on the platforms and subways. The railways have collected Rs 20,000 from the offenders.Officials have appealed to the passengers and visitors at the station not to throw wrappers, plastic bags and garbage on platforms. The railways can also fine people found washing clothes at water pipes and basins. Passengers are expected to make use of dustbins and help the administration to keep the station premises clean.Raees Mirza, area manager of Surat railway station told TOI, "It is an offence to spit and litter the railway premises including platforms, trains and tracks. The provision of fine has been there but it was not implemented properly. The situation warrants its strict implementation. Our staff including ticket checkers is catching the offenders."

He further said that beggars are a big nuisance in the railway premises. "We are seeking the help of NGOs to help us remove the beggar from the platforms and the subways," he added.

Metro rail services were affected on Line 3/4 (blue line) today due to a problem in an insulator on the over head electrification (OHE) between Shadipur and Patel Nagar on the down line towards NOIDA City Centre.The problem started at 01.11 PM and was rectified by 03.12 PM due to which the services had to be run on single line between Kirti Nagar and Patel Nagar in the affected period resulting in delayed running of trains on the entire corridor by eight to ten minutes.In urban Mass Rapid Metro operations, overhead electric supply poles are located at a distance of 40 metres with two insulators on each OHE mast. Thus, the Metro electrical engineers had to locate the faulty insulator amongst 200 such insulators.Once it was located, the insulator was replaced within 12 minutes. Three repair teams were rushed to the spot from the Yamuna Bank, Mundka and Najafgarh depots.During the entire period centralized and local announcements were also made at all the stations and trains of Line -3/4.

Metro services on all other corridors remained normal.

गोरखपुर : माल ढुलाई से पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे की आय में बढोत्तरी हुई है। आरंभिक औसत माल लादान से होने वाली आय में करीब 61 फीसद की वृद्धि हुई है।
मुख्य जनसंपर्क अधिकारी आलोक कुमार सिंह के अनुसार माल विपणन के क्षेत्र में किए जा रहे समेकित प्रयास के परिणाम सामने आने लगे हैं। वित्तीय वर्ष 2013- 14 की प्रथम तिमाही में जून 2013 तक इस रेलवे पर माल लादान की लीड एवं आय में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि हुई है। इस अवधि में माल लादान में वृद्धि के पैमाने आरंभिक औसत लीड में आशातीत बढ़ोत्तरी हुई है। सीपीआरओ के अनुसार वित्त वर्ष 2012-13 की प्रथम तिमाही में आरंभिक औसत लीड 688 किमी था, जो वर्तमान वित्त वर्ष की इसी अवधि में बढ़कर 1107 किमी हो गया है। पिछले वित्त वर्ष की प्रथम तिमाही में जहां प्रति वैगन 688 किमी के लिए माल लादान हुआ था वहीं वर्तमान प्रथम तिमाही में 1107 किमी तक प्रति वैगन माला लादान हुआ है।

सराय रोहिल्ला से फरूखनगर के बीच पिछले महीने शुरू हुई डीईएमयू ट्रेन को नई दिल्ली स्टेशन से चलाने की मांग शुरू हो गई है।
इस वर्ष के रेल बजट में रेल मंत्री ने नई डीईएमयू चलाने की घोषणा की थी। जिस पर अमल करते हुए रेलवे ने छह जून को इसका उद्घाटन किया था। उद्घाटन के कुछ दिनों बाद ही इसके प्रस्थान स्थान को लेकर विरोध शुरू हो गया है।
लोगों का कहना है कि सराय रोहिल्ला तक चलने की वजह से दिल्ली के अन्य इलाके के लोगों को इस ट्रेन का लाभ नहीं मिल रहा है। इसलिए इसे नई दिल्ली स्टेशन से चलाए जाने की जरूरत है।
इंद्रप्रस्थ सेवा संघ के अध्यक्ष टीसी गुप्ता का कहना है कि यदि यह ट्रेन नई दिल्ली स्टेशन से चले तो नई दिल्ली, सदर बाजार व आसपास के अन्य इलाके में नौकरी व व्यवसाय करने वाले हजारों लोगों को फायदा मिलेगा।
शाम के समय इसके प्रस्थान समय में भी बदलाव करने की मांग की जा रही है। संस्था के महासचिव संदीप अरोड़ा ने कहा कि अभी यह ट्रेन सराय रोहिल्ला से शाम छह बजे चलती है। इसके बाद इस रूट पर कोई ट्रेन नहीं है। इसलिए इसका प्रस्थान समय शाम सात बजे होना चाहिए।

The much-awaited day train to Chennai from Tuticorin will be introduced on July 31. As announced in the Railway Budget 2013-14, the sectional coaches running between Chennai Egmore and Madurai in trains (16127 /16128) and Chennai Egmore-Guruvayur Express will be extended to Tuticorin as Tuticorin-Chennai Egmore-Tuticorin Link Express (numbers 16130 /16129).The inaugural service of Tuticorin-Chennai Egmore Link Express (train number 16130) will be flagged off at Tuticorin railway station at 7.35 a.m. on Wednesday, N.Venugopal, Senior Public Relations Officer, Madurai Division, said in a statement on Monday.

Timings

The inaugural and regular service of Tuticorin-Chennai Egmore Link Express (16130) and regular service of Chennai Egmore-Tuticorin Link Express (16129) will commence as per schedule.

Chennai Egmore-Tuticorin Link Express (16129) Daily would leave Chennai Egmore at 7.40 a.m. and arrive at Vanchi Maniyachi at 18.35 hours and leave Vanchi Maniachchi at 19.15 hours to reach Tuticorin at 20.35 hours.

The Tuticorin-Chennai Egmore Link Express (16130) Daily would leave Tuticorin at 7.35 a.m. and arrive at Vanchi Maniachchi at 8.30 a.m. and leave Vanchi Maniachchi at 8.35 a.m. to reach Chennai Egmore at 21.15 hours.

The link express would have six second-lass sitting coaches (reserved), one general second-class coach and one luggage-cum-brake van coach. This link express coaches would be attached and detached at Vanchi Maniachchi station.

Stoppages

The eight-bogie train would stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Pennadam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Tiruchi, Manaparai, Dindigul, Kudalnagar, Madurai, Virudunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniachchi and Milavittan. The Chennai Egmore-Tuticorin Link Express (16129) would stop at Tuticorin-Melur and Tuticorin-Chennai Egmore Link Express (16130) would stop at Mambalam as well.
