Extension of holiday special trains.

New Delhi:  Indian Railway has set up a centralized Catering Services Monitoring Cell  in the  Board’s office having a toll free number 1800-111-321 for prompt redressal of the passenger grievances related to the catering activities for real time assistance to traveling public. On the same pattern, Catering Monitoring Cells have been set up at Zonal and Divisional level for daily monitoring of the catering activities.

Indian Railway has ensured continuous monitoring of the services provided to the passengers. If any irregularity is found punitive actions like imposition of fine, warning and termination of contract etc. are taken according to the gravity of offence/irregularity. As per extant Catering Policy, 2010, Railways proposed to have base kitchens in railway premises for close monitoring the quality.

New Catering Policy, 2010 makes it mandatory for Indian Railway to assure effective and quality food to be provided to passengers which must meet international standards.

Supervision and monitoring have been strengthened through a mechanism put in place by deploying railway personnel, who check quality and hygiene along with feedback/opinion of passengers and take corrective action in a time bound manner. About 34565 inspections have been carried out in the last one year i.e. April, 2012 to March 2013.

बिलासपुर। रेलवे बोर्ड की अनदेखी के चलते जोन की वे ट्रेनें शुरू नहीं हो पा रही हैं, जिनकी घोषणा रेल बजट में की गई थी। जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस को दो साल बाद भी गोंदिया तक शुरू नहीं किया जा सका, जबकि वर्ष 2013-14 के रेल बजट में घोषित 5 में से एक भी ट्रेन को शुरू नहीं किया जा सका है। रेलवे बोर्ड ने जोन को बोगियां तो दी, लेकिन आधी अधूरी। नतीजा यह कि नई बोगियां पटरियों पर आने के बजाय यार्ड में डंप कर दी गईं हैं।

रेल बजट 2012-13 में जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस को पूरे दिन गोंदिया तक चलाने की घोषणा हुई। वर्ष 2012-13 खत्म हो गया और नए साल का रेल बजट भी आ गया, लेकिन जनशताब्दी को अब हफ्ते में चार दिन ही गोंदिया तक भेजा जा रहा है। जनशताब्दी को गोंदिया तक ले जाने के लिए एक और रैक की जरूरत होगी।

वर्तमान में ट्रेन दो रैक के साथ चल रही है, जिसके चलते दोनों रैक को मेंटेनेंस के लिए एक-एक दिन दुर्ग में टर्मिनेट किया जाता है। दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य रेलवे ने नई रैक के लिए रेलवे बोर्ड को दर्जनों बार पत्र लिखा। इसका नतीजा यह हुआ कि डेढ़ महीने पहले जोन को 4 एसी कोच दे दिए गए।

अब ये बोगियां दुर्ग स्टेशन के यार्ड में खड़ी हैं। जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस 17 कोच के साथ दौड़ रही है, यानी ट्रेन शुरू करने के लिए न्यूनतम इतने कोच की जरूरत है। इधर वर्ष 2013-14 के रेल बजट में जोन को 5 नई ट्रेनों की सौगात मिली। घोषणा 6 महीने पुरानी है, लेकिन इसमें से किसी एक ट्रेन को भी शुरू नहीं किया जा सका।

इसके पीछे भी कारण यही है कि जोन को नई ट्रेनों के लिए बोगियां नहीं दी गईं हैं। रेलवे बोर्ड ने जुलाई में जोन को 12 अत्याधुनिक (एलएचबी) स्लीपर कोच भेजे हैं, लेकिन ये भी यार्ड में बेकार पड़े हैं। अत्याधुनिक कोच के साथ पहले से चल रहे कोच को जोड़ा नहीं जा सकता और किसी भी नई ट्रेन को बिना एसी कोच के साथ चलाया नहीं जा सकता। बोर्ड की लापरवाही के चलते जोन को मिली बोगियां यार्ड में बेकार खड़ी हैं।

15 तक मिलेगी जनशताब्दी की रैक


दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य रेलवे ने जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस के लिए जरूरत की दूसरी बोगियां उपलब्ध कराने के लिए फिर से पत्र भेजा है। इधर, दैनिक भास्कर ने भी समस्या को लेकर प्रभारी चेयरमैन अरुनेंद्र कुमार से बात की। उन्होने माना कि जनशताब्दी को शुरू करने में देर हो गई है, अब और देर नहीं की जाएगी। वे ही मेंबर मैकेनिकल भी हैं, लिहाजा उन्होंने अगले 15 दिनों में जोन को जरूरत की बोगियां उपलब्ध कराने की बात कही। ऐसे में जनशताब्दी के सितंबर में विस्तार की उम्मीद है।

..तो शुरू हो जाती बिलासपुर-बीकानेर

इस रेल बजट में जोन को दुर्ग-जयपुर, बिलासपुर-जोधपुर, दुर्ग-जम्मू, दुर्ग-छपरा और बिलासपुर-बीकानेर एक्सप्रेस की सुविधा मिली है। इन ट्रेनों को मार्च 2014 तक शुरू करना है, जिसके लिए तकरीबन 100 बोगियों की दरकार है। जोन को अब तक 12 स्लीपर कोच ही मिले हैं। 4 एसी कोच और भेज दिए गए होते तो बिलासपुर-बीकानेर एक्सप्रेस को शुरू किया जा सकता था।

Mumbai: Reliance Infrastructure said on Tuesday it planned to commission the Mumbai Metro rail project this year.

“We are geared up to bring it in this year and waiting for requisite approvals,” said Lalit Jalan, chief executive, at the 84th annual general meeting.

The company’s chairman, Anil Ambani, said the firm is contemplating expansion of the metro line even before starting operations. “It can accommodate 700,000 passengers a day. We plan to bring it up to one million passengers a day,” he said.

Ambani also tried to allay shareholders’ fears on the Delhi Airport Express project, from which the company recently exited, citing faults in the civil structure constructed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. “We are confident of recovering all our investment in the project,” he added. Ambani said the company charted a five-year growth path from being a Mumbai power distribution company to a being a full-fledged infrastructure company. “All our projects will be revenue-operational within the financial year,” he said.

It includes road projects, metro project and transmission lines. The company also plans to bring its first cement plant to operation at Maihar in Madhya Pradesh. The plant has annual capacity of five million tonnes and will use the fly ash from Reliance Power’s Sasan plant.

The company plans to increase cement-producing capacity to 20 million tonnes in five years. Reliance Power, which also held its annual general meeting on Tuesday, said it planned to double its generating capacity yet again. “Reliance Power’s operating capacity doubled from 1,200 megawatts (Mw) to 2,545 Mw. We expect to again double operating capacity to over 5,000 Mw within the next 12 months,” said J P Chalasani, Chief Executive.

Ludhiana : The chairman of Yatri Sewa Samiti, which looks after the services being provided to the railway passengers, inspected the city railway station today. The chairman, Jagdish Chander, inspected various areas on the railway station premises and took notes of problems being faced by visitors and passengers at the railway station.While addressing a long-pending demand of city residents, Jagdish Chander said the Lakkar Bridge will be completed by the end of this year. The project has been hanging fire for several years, inconveniencing the residents.Although the station authorities had cleaned the station, Chander was not satisfied by the basic infrastructure. He instructed the railway station staff to keep the station more neat and clean.The chairman said the ongoing construction of foot bridge will be completed by March 31. He said the railway hospital will also be upgraded."The grant for installing escalators on the railway platforms has been released. We have sent the design to Railway Board. When they pass the design, the work will start,” said Jagdish Chander.A delegation of industrialists and Congress leaders also met the Chairman to discuss various problems.The delegation demanded the opening of a ticket reservation centre on the Civil Lines side, and a new Shatabdi from Ludhiana.
