रांची. अब रांची रेलवे स्टेशन के बुकिंग काउंटर पर टिकट के लिए लाइन में खड़े होने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी। रांची रेल मंडल एक सप्ताह में रांची स्टेशन बुकिंग सेंटर से टोकन कम क्यू मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम की शुरुआत करने जा रही है। इसके लिए एक टोकन मशीन के साथ डिजिटल डिस्प्ले भी बुकिंग सेंटर पर इंस्टॉल कर दी गई है। इस सर्विस के शुरू होने के बाद यात्रियों को काफी सहुलियत होगी। टोकन लेने के बाद वो आराम से कुर्सी पर बैठकर अपने नंबर आने का इंतजार करते दिखेंगे। साथ ही समय की बचत भी होगी।

बुकिंग सेंटर में एक टोकन डिस्पेंसर मशीन लगाई गई है। इसमें चार बटन हैं। पहला बटन रिजर्वेशन, दूसरा कैंसिलेशन, तीसरा तत्काल और चौथा बटन प्रिविलेज सर्विस के लिए है। जरूरत के अनुसार बटन दबाने पर एक टोकन निकलेगा, जिसमें नंबर लिखा होगा। यही टोकन नंबर डिजिटल डिस्प्ले बोर्ड पर काउंटर नंबर के साथ दिखेगा। उदाहरण के तौर पर अगर डिस्प्ले पर काउंटर नंबर दो नंबर काउंटर लिखा आता है, तो दो नंबर काउंटर पर टोकन लेकर जाना होगा। वहीं से टिकट कटेगा।

साउथ ईस्टर्न रेलवे का पहला स्टेशन

पूरे साउथ ईस्टर्न रेलवे में रांची रेलवे बुकिंग सेंटर में इस सर्विस की शुरुआत पहली बार होनी जा रही है। इस तरह रांची रेलवे स्टेशन साउथ ईस्टर्न रेलवे का पहला टोकन सर्विस देने वाला स्टेशन बन जाएगा। वर्तमान में मुंबई, बंगलुरू, नागपुर में यात्रियों को टोकन सर्विस का फायदा मिल रहा है। इस सर्विस को शुरू करने में 3.80 लाख रुपए खर्च आ रहा है। रांची की लॉ-विशन कंपनी मशीन लगाने का काम कर रही है। मशीन लगाने का काम 90 फीसदी तक पूरा हो चुका है।

लाइन में खड़े होने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी

टोकन कम क्यू मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम के शुरू हो जाने से यात्रियों को टिकट कटाने के लिए लाइन में खड़े होने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी। टोकन लेने के बाद यात्री आराम से कुर्सी पर बैठकर अपनी बारी का इंतजार कर सकते हैं। बुजुर्ग व महिला यात्रियों को इसका अधिक लाभ मिलेगा। साथ ही टिकट दलालों पर भी रोक लगेगी।’

Dhanbad railway police are going out of their way to make a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable and despised children — vagabonds at the station.
From August 30, Government Railway Police (GRP) at Dhanbad junction have started an informal, self-financed school for destitute children, the first such initiative under East Central Railway.
Children, who pick rags, beg or steal or just loiter, are seen at every Indian station. Traditionally, they not persons whom the railway police view kindly. The children, on the other hand, are plain scared of policemen, wary atbest.
But the GRP at Dhanbad station is making a brave effort to be a game-changer with 11 children aged between eight and 16 on its school rolls.
Though it’s been four days, the police may have earned the trust of Raju (8), Suraj Kumar (10), Ajay Kumar (12), Soni Kumari (12), Om Prakash (12), Akhilesh (12), Golu Bhuiyan (12), Pradip Kumar (13), Arbaz Khan (14), Ravi Kumar (14) and Mohammed Shakil (16).
It’s a rare sight, as any policeman will agree.
Children, many of whom the police know as pickpockets and drug addicts, troop in anytime between 10am and 2pm for a two-hour class on the verandah of GRP thana on Dhanbad railway station, depending on mutual convenience.
They also get books, pencils and copies and other stationery free of cost.
“We launched the school last Friday. Sunday was their holiday, so effectively, this (Tuesday) is the fourth day of school. On Day One, nine children came. The number has gone up to 11. It is encouraging,” said officer in charge of GRP (Dhanbad) A.K. Verma.
His fellow teachers are lady sub-inspector M.T.M. Tirkey and munshi Rajnikant.
Children, who live on station premises, are orphans or abandoned by parents or runaways. Though a few take up menial work, many turn to crime, sniff glue or inject drugs.
“But they are children, after all, and we have a soft corner for them,” Verma said. “We are at present teaching them alphabets and numbers. This apart, we teach them hygiene basics,” he said.
On the scope of their school, he said: “If the number of children increases, we may shift to a rented accommodation with the help of some NGO. Even if we don’t get external aid, we can manage expenses on our own if each of our 70 colleagues donate Rs 50 a month,” Verma said.
On Day One, children were given aset of new clothes and a haircut. “We funded these from out of our own pocket,” Verma said. “We thought, if it’s a new start, there should be a special marker. Lice-infested hair and dreadlocks aren’t conducive to learning ABC,” he smiled.
Verma, while thanking NGO Childline for help, admitted a lot needed to be done.
“We need shelters with de-addiction centres, vocational courses,” he said. “If these young lives get an overhaul, they won’t grow up into criminals.”
He added society overlooked their innate goodness. “Only this Sunday, eight-year-old Raju returned a cellphone to a passenger that had fallen on the platform. Don’t you think Raju deserves a better life?”

अमृतसर से चलकर इंदौर पहुंचने वाली अमृतसर एक्सप्रेस अब प्रति शुक्रवार तड़के 5.05 बजे के स्थान पर तड़के 3 बजे इंदौर पहुंचेगी। अब यह ट्रेन अमृतसर से प्रति गुरुवार प्रात: 4.30 बजे के स्थान पर प्रति बुधवार रात्रि 11.15 बजे चलेगी।
उल्लेखनीय है कि 19325/19326 इंदौर-अमृतसर-इंदौर एक्सप्रेस को साप्ताहिक से द्विसाप्ताहिक किया जाना प्रस्तावित है।
इंदौर से इस ट्रेन का चलने का समय 1 जुलाई से बदला जा चुका है। इस ट्रेन का अतिरिक्त फेरा इंदौर से प्रति शुक्रवार तथा प्रति शनिवार अमृतसर से रहेगा। अतिरिक्त फेरे की तिथियां अब तक घोषित नहीं की गई हैं।

NEW DELHI: Two Chinese companies are among six bidders in the race for setting up a modern electric locomotive factory at Medhepura in Bihar.CNR Corporation and CSR Corporation, both from China, have submitted qualifying bids for the proposed Rs 1300 crore factory, said a senior Railway Ministry official.Other four multinationals who have submitted the RFQ (request for quotation) proposals include GE Global, Bombardier, Siemens and AlstomBSE -1.59 %.Today was the last date for submission of RFQ application. These are qualifying proposals and Railways has to shortlist the bidders and then invite financial bids for the state-of-the-art factory.The proposals for the factory and also a diesel locomotive factory at Marhora in Bihar were announced during the then Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in 2008.Both factories are to be set up in PPP model and there are many changes in the bidding documents over the clauses of transfer of technology and maintenance since the announcement.In order to give a boost to the infrastructure sector, setting up of these two factories on PPP mode is crucial for the current economy scenario and PMO is also monitoring these projects.Bidding documents were earlier discharged on November 2011 and Railways called for fresh proposals for the two factories.Finally the qualifying applications were opened today after many extension of final date, said the official.

However, the applications for the diesel locomotive factory at Marhora will be opened on September 22. The Marhora factory would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2,025 crore.

At present, Railways has two locomotive factories in Varanasi (diesel) and Chittaranjan (electric).

Train movement on the Jammu-Pathankote railway route was disrupted today by supporters of Asaram Bapu in Samba district, where police held three of them.Over 150 supporters including women, carrying placards, shouted slogans and blocked the tracks at Balol Nallah area in Bari Brahmana, a senior police officer said.After a brief disruption where two trains were delayed, police swung to action and dispersed the squatters, and held three supporters of the godman for disrupting railway traffic.The trains affected in the disruption were Ahmedabad Express from Jammu and Jammu bound Sealdah Express.The agitated supporters alleged that Asaram Bapu was framed under a conspiracy by the UPA government.

PATHSHALA – Train and road services remained suspended for about eight hours from 6 am today as a result of the rail-cum-road blockade programme staged by the Aboro Surakshya Samiti, a non-Bodo organisation opposed to the creation of a separate Bodoland state, at the railway level-crossing on the NH-31 near the office of the Bajali SDO (Civil) to register their protest against further dismemberment of the State.It was a sea of humanity at the railway level crossing on the NH-31 today with the activists and supporters of the Aboro Surakshya Samiti, the Sanmilita Janagosthiya Sangram Samiti (SJSS), the All Bodoland Minorities Students’ Union (ABMSU), the Sachetan Gana Mancha and several other non-Bodo organisations coming from far flung areas of the BTAD areas and Bajali areas taking part in the blockade programme. A large number of aged people and women also took part in the programme with much enthusiasm.The protesters demanded exclusion of all non-Bodo majority villages from the Bodoland Territorial Administrative Districts (BTAD) areas, holding of tripartite talks involving the non-Bodo organisations on the issue of a separate Bodoland state and its connected issues, before arriving at a conclusion on these issues, non-application of the Sixth Schedule in the plains of Assam, seizure of illegal arms in the BTAD areas and an end to abductions, extortions and killings in the BTAD areas.

Staff Reporter adds: Aboro Surakshya Samiti advisor Hareswar Barman today blamed the Government for its policies on the tribal autonomy issue. The wrong policy of the Government in this respect is turning Assam into a smouldering cauldron.

To save Assam from the fratricidal clashes resulting from this situation, the Government should immediately hold a series of round-table conferences involving all the ethnic groups and non-tribal organisations so that consensus solutions could be arrived at on these issues.

मुगलसराय(चंदौली): स्थानीय जंक्शन पर क्या कुछ चल रहा है अभी तक इसकी जानकारी केवल जीआरपी कोतवाली तक सीमित होती थी लेकिन अब इस पर ऊपर के अधिकारी भी आनलाइन नजर रखेंगे। इसके लिए जंक्शन पर कुल आठ आनलाइन सीसी कैमरे लगाए जा रहे हैं। सबसे अहम यह है कि एक कैमरा जीआरपी कोतवाली में लगाया जाएगा जिसके माध्यम से अधिकारी रोजाना के जीडी का अवलोकन भी करेंगे।
पहले से लगे हैं कैमरे
दरअसल पहले से भी सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से जंक्शन पर कैमरे लगे हैं लेकिन ये आनलाइन नहीं है। इन कैमरों के माध्यम से स्थानीय जीआरपी प्रशासन जंक्शन पर नजर रखती है। वर्तमान में वहां लग रहे 8 आनलाइन सीसी कैमरे हमेशा इंटरनेट से जुड़े होंगे। जंक्शन पर क्या चल रहा है इसकी जानकारी इलाहाबाद व लखनऊ में बैठे उच्चाधिकारी सीधे देख सकेंगे। इतना ही नहीं मौके की नजाकत को समझते हुए समय-समय पर स्थानीय पुलिस अधिकारियों को निर्देशित भी करेंगे। अब तक इस काम के लिए या तो उन्हें अपने मातहतों से अथवा संबंधित सूचना एजेंसी से जानकारी मिल पाती थी। कई बार ऐसा भी होता था कि अधिकारियों के सामने सच्चाई से हट कर भी जानकारी पहुंचती थी। अब आनलाइन कैमरों के लग जाने के बाद एक तो जंक्शन की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था सुदृढ़ होगी दूसरे किसी आपातकालीन स्थिति में अधिकारी वहीं बैठे-बैठे पूरी व्यवस्था को मानीटरिंग कर सकेंगे।
कैमरा लगाने का कार्य शुरू
इस संबंध में कोतवाल रतन सिंह ने बताया कि जंक्शन के विभिन्न प्लेटफार्मोँ, आने जाने वाले रास्तों, मुसाफिर खाने सहित अन्य जगहों पर प्रोजेक्ट दृष्टि के अन्तर्गत 8 सीसी कैमरे लगाने का कार्य मंगलवार से शुरू हुआ।
एक कैमरे की जद में 50 फीट एरिया
वहीं ई मित्र एटी इन्फोटेक प्राईवेट लिमिटेड संस्था के प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर राबीन राणा ने बताया कि खुद एडीजीपी रेलवे ने इसका डिमास्ट्रेशन कराया था। उसके बाद प्रदेश के सभी बड़े जंक्शनों पर इसे लगाने का निर्णय लिया था। उसी के तहत ये कैमरे लगाए जा रहे है। बताया कि ये विशेष तरह के कैमरे है जो 150 फीट एरिया को अपने जद में हमेशा रखेंगे। हालांकि इससे दूर का दृश्य भी कवर होगा।
