V. Narayanasamy, Hon’ble Union Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office & Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension and Thiru. N. The inaugural special will leave Puducherry at 12.15 hrs. on 17.09.2013 and arrive Tirupati at 19.25 hrs. the same day.The composition of the train will be 8 General Second Class and 2 second class-cum-luggage coaches.The train will stop at Villupuram, Tirukkovilur, Tiruvannamalai, Polur, Arni Road, Vellore Cantt., Katpadi, Chittoor and Pakala.



The regular service of T.No.17413 Tirupati – Puducherry (Weekly) Express will commence ex. Tirupati w.e.f. 21.09.2013 (Saturday) and T.No.17414 Puducherry – Tirupati (Weekly) Express will commence ex. Puducherry w.e.f. 22.09.2013 (Sunday).T.No.17413 will leave Tirupati at 21.35 hrs. on Saturdays and arrive Puducherry at 04.30 hrs. on Sundays. T.No.17414 will leave Puducherry at 08.35 hrs. on Sundays and arrive Tirupati at 16.00 hrs. the same day. The composition of the trains will be 8 General Second Class, 1 Second Class-cum-luggage and 1 Second Class-cum-disabled friendly coaches.The trains will stop at Pakala, Chittoor, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt., Arni Road, Polur, Tiruvannamalai, Tirukkovilur and Villupuram.

ALLAHABAD: To promote talent, a painting competition was organized for children of railway officers and employees at Subedarganj on Sunday under the auspices of North Central Railway Women Welfare Organization (NCRWWO).The competition was divided into three age groups, 6 to 9 years; 9-12 years and 12-15 years. Among the participants 67 were in the first group, 80 in second and 47 in the third group. The topic of the first group was 'Scene of Setting Sun' while for the second group was 'Scene of traffic signal' or ' Scene of circus'. The topic for the third group was 'One day among Tribal people ' or ' Journey through train'.On the occasion, president of NCRWWO Chitrangada Johri,Afshan Kabir, Sita Rani, Suman Lata Verma, Madhulika Mathur, Madhulika Singh, Mamta Kumar, Neera Shukla, Dr. Aparna Goyal, Priti Kumar, Mamta Rana, Namita Arya and Madhu Verma were present.

Baramulla, Sep 14: The Special Investigation Team ( SIT) constituted to probe the mysterious death of People’s League leader Abdul Rashid Sofi alias Ghazi has expressed dismay over the Northern Railway failure to install CCTV camera at the Kralhar railway station here in north Kashmir.

The SIT, according to reports, had approached the railway department to seek the footage of CCTV camera if installed at the Kralhar railway station, however, to their dismay they found that the department had not installed the system.

Sources told that the railway department had so far not installed any such surveillance cameras all along the route from Baramulla to Qazigund despite the fact that the entire route from Baramulla to Qazigund, comprising of 15 railway stations and 64 major bridges are considered to be sensitive keeping in view the turmoil in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the special investigation team probing the death of the 65 year old PL leader is reportedly seeking all the details of the passengers who had traveled on Wednesday evening from Islamabad (Anantnag) to Baramulla. The SIT has also reportedly questioned several railway guards deployed at Kralhar Baramulla railway station.

Meanwhile, various pro-freedom leaders and parties have condoled the demise of Ghazi.Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik  has expressed shock and grief over the demise, describing the deceased as a gentle and humble soul. He said Gazi’s dedication and struggle will always be remembered. He prayed for the deceased and sympathized with the bereaved family.

A delegation of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) led by its general secretary Moulana Abdullah Tari on Saturday visited the residence of the deceased.

“Due to continuous house arrest senior resistance leader and chairman DFP Shabir Ahmad Shah could not visit the Baramulla to express solidarity with the family of resistance leader Ghazi Abdul Rashid on his martyrdom,” a DFP spokesman said.

However, on his instructions, a delegation visited the residence of the deceased and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family,” he added.

कानपुर झांसी के बीच नई विद्युतीकरण रेलवे लाइन पर कब से ट्रेनों का आवागमन शुरू होगा, इसको लेकर संशय बरकरार है। सोमवार को रेल संरक्षा आयुक्त पीके वाजपेयी ने विद्युतीकृत लाइन का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने कहा कि मंगलवार को इलेक्ट्रिक इंजन का लाइन पर ट्रायल होगा। इसके बाद रिपोर्ट ऊपर भेजी जाएगी। कब से इलेक्ट्रिक ट्रेनें दौड़ने लगेंगी इसको लेकर उन्होंने कोई आधिकारिक संकेत नहीं दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि तकनीकि खामियों को वे चिन्हित कर रहे हैं।
रेल संरक्षा आयुक्त पीके वाजपेयी ने उरई रेलवे स्टेशन पर इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन के निरीक्षण के दौरान माना कि अभी इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन से ट्रेनों के संचालन में तमाम गतिरोध हैं उन्हें दूर करने की कोशिश की जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि कानपुर से झांसी तक बिछी विद्युतीकृत रेलवे लाइन के निरीक्षण के बाद मंगलवार को इलेक्ट्रिक इंजन का फाइनल ट्रायल होगा। इसके बाद तय किया जाएगा लाइन ठीक है या नहीं, कब से इलेक्ट्रिक ट्रेनों के आवागमन को हरी झंडी मिलेगी इसको लेकर उन्होंने कुछ नहीं कहा। चौरसी के पास विद्युतीकृत लाइन में पावर सप्लाई के लिए सब स्टेशन के निर्माण को लेकर चल रहा विवाद अभी खत्म नहीं हुआ, लेकिन उन्होंने कहा कि यहां सब स्टेशन स्थापित हुए बगैर भी इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन शुरू हो सकती है। इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन देखने वाले इंजीनियरों से उन्होंने तकनीकी खामियों के बारे में पूछा।

A non-political civic group led by intellectuals and social workers Monday called for a 12-hour shutdown Sep 24 in southern Assam, demanding early completion of ongoing rail projects in the northeastern India.The strike has been called by the Broad Gauge Railway Line Implementation Agitation Samity (BGRLIAS) in three districts of Assam's southern Barak Valley region - Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi.The proposed strike may disrupt rail services in Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur besides Assam."Due to utter negligence of the central government, rail connectivity in the northeastern region has made very poor progress. The rail network is dependent on over 100-year-old tracks laid during the British rule," group convener Ajoy Roy told reporters here."Despite assurances by several prime ministers and other central leaders and after numerous agitations, the extension of rail networks and their target dates get delayed year after year," he said.On Aug 7, over 5,000 members of the Democratic Youth Federation of India and Tribal Youth Federation -- both youth wings of the Communist Party of India-Marxist -- staged a demonstration at the Northeast Frontier Railway headquarters in Guwahati.

The protestors demanded early completion of delayed rail projects in the entire northeastern region.

In January 1996, the then prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda laid the foundation stone for conversion of the Lumding-Agartala metre-gauge track to broad gauge.

According to railway officials, the cost of the gauge conversion project has escalated to Rs.2,800 crore from Rs.648 crore in 1996.

The broad gauge railway line from Guwahati passes through Lumding in Nagaon district, connecting Agartala and parts of Manipur, Mizoram and southern Assam with the rest of India by a single 109-year-old metre-gauge track.

Agartala is one of the newest stations of the Indian Railways, and came up on the map in October 2008.

To cater to the extra rush of rail passengers during the ensuing Festival Rush, Northern  Railway has decided to increase the passenger carrying capacity  of the train nos. 04201/04202 Lucknow-New Delhi-Lucknow Express Special  in both directions by providing One  Additional A.C. 3 Tier coach with immediate effect upto 19.11.2013  when departing from Lucknow  and upto 20.11.2013 when departing from New Delhi. The revised composition consists of 15 coaches.
The other features like timings, route, stoppages etc. will remain unchanged.

मॉडल स्टेशन के प्लेटफार्म नंबर 1 को शेड से कवर्ड किया गया है। तत्कालीन डीआरएम एलसी त्रिवेदी ने प्लेटफार्म को इस तरह से तैयार कराया कि ट्रेन से उतरने  वालों को आसमान स्टेशन के बाहर ही नजर आए। आम यात्रियों को दी गई सुविधा इंजीनियरिंग विभाग की लापरवाही के चलते परेशानी का सबब बन रहा है। दरअसल प्लेटफार्म को शेड से कवर्ड तो कर दिया गया, लेकिन पानी निकासी की समुचित व्यवस्था नहीं की गई।

नए शेड का भी पानी पुरानी लाइन पर डाल दिया गया। इंजीनियरिंग विभाग ने सोचा ही नहीं कि छत की साइज बढऩे से पानी भी ज्यादा आएगा, यानी निकासी की व्यवस्था को भी दुरुस्त करना होगा। वर्तमान समय में छत के पानी की निकासी के लिए 9 इंच मोटे पाइप की दरकार है, जबकि पहले से लगा पाइप चार इंच का है।

यही कारण है कि झमाझम बारिश से पानी छत की नाली (मोरी) में जमा होने लगता है और थोड़ी देर बाद झरने की तरह गेट नंबर 3 के करीब दो जगहों पर गिरने लगता है।

दैनिक भास्कर ने इस समस्या को पहले भी सामने लाया, लेकिन इंजीनियरिंग विभाग की नींद ही नहीं टूटी। रविवार को हुई बारिश में भी पानी प्लेटफार्म पर गिरता रहा। आसपास बैठे यात्रियों को यहां से भागना पड़ा। बारिश होते तक आम यात्री परेशान होते रहे।

सुधार बारिश  के बाद होगा

पानी निकासी के लिए लगा पाइप छोटा पड़ गया है। इसे बदलने में खासा समय लगेगा, लिहाजा निर्माण कार्य बारिश के बाद शुरू करने की योजना है। आने वाले समय में समस्या दूर कर ली जाएगी।
