Two suspects were remanded in police custody for four days by the First Class Judicial Magistrate Court, Changanassery, in connection with the detection of an improvised explosive device (IED) near a railway track at Piravom Road. Senthil and his accomplice Santhosh were till now in judicial custody. According to investigating officer M. Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pala, the two have been remanded till Tuesday. In addition to the verification of the declarations made in the IED case, the police are looking into the connection the two have with similar incidents in the past. The police will also look into the criminal links which helped Santhosh acquire the skills to design the IED. |
