Title - Howrah – Ernakulam – Howrah Antyodaya Express completed its first commercial journey

Country’s first Antyodaya Express from Howrah to Ernakulam completed its first commercial journey today on March 6. Train number 22877 Howrah – Ernakulam commenced its regular operation on March 4 at 05:00PM in the evening of Saturday. This train arrived Ernakulam today in the morning 6:00AM.

From Ernakulam train number 22878 Ernakulam – Howrah Weekly Antyodaya Express will depart on Tuesday at 12:25 Midnight and will arrive Howrah at 02:50PM on Wednesday.

Salient features of Antyodaya Express –

  • This train is fully unreserved
  • Despite being fully unreserved it is for the first time when service offered by railway is Superfast
  • Luggage racks are fully cushioned
  • There are LED lights in the cabin
  • There is dustbin in each cabin
  • There are on-board water purifiers in every coach
  • Anti-graffiti arrangements
  • Modular toilets
  • Bio toilets
  • Fire Extinguishers
