Title - Home Minister inaugurates RoB

Home Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy on Monday formally inaugurated the rail-overbridge on the 11th level crossing at Sambamurthy Nagar and felicitated former Union Minister Mallipudi Srirama Sanjeeva Rao, after whom the bridge was named. Of the total cost of 21.5 crore, Rs. 13.55 crore was borne by the Roads and Buildings department, while the Indian Railways spent the remaining Rs. 7.95 crore. Union Minister of State for Defence M.M. Pallam Raju, Animal Husbandry Minister Pinipe Viswaroop, Collector Neetu Prasad, and MLAs were present.

Rainfall

East Godavari district recorded a total rainfall of 2,501.2 mm, with an average rainfall of 41.7 mm on Monday. Kothapeta mandal registered the highest rainfall of 175.2 mm.
