Guided Media Tour Conducted to Coaching Maintenance Depot, Secunderabad

The Media Personnel from Twin Cities of Hyderabad / Secunderabad were taken o­n a Guided Media Tour to visit “ Coaching Maintenance Depot” Bhoiguda, Secunderabad today  ( 11thJune, 2013).

Shri Gagan Deep, Sr. Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Carriage & Wagon), Secunderabad Division and Shri K. Sambasiva Rao, Chief Public Relations Officer, SCR  guided the Media persons into the Coaching Maintenance Depot and explained the activities.  The Media personnel were first shown various maintenance activities which are carried out to make ready a train for its next run, such as Safety checks, mechanized cleaning of coaches, rodent cleaning , replenishing passenger amenity item in the coach etc o­n the pit lines.  Next, the Media personnel were shown the state-of-the-art  LHB Coach which is being newly introduced in some identified trains and were given a first hand information about the salient features of the Coach.  They were also shown the Bio-Toilet, an indigenous invention, and its working.
Later, Shri M. Amarendra, Chief Roling Stock Engineer, SCR, explained the  working of Coach Maintenance Depot, Bhoiguda, salient feature of  LHB Coaches and Bio Toilet through a Power Point presentation and inter acted with the Media personnel.
