Title - Get 5 rupee cashback on crushing used plastic bottles at Railway stations

Railway has taken a new initiative to control limitless plastic waste accumulating over its premises. The eco-friendly measure involves setting up bottle crushers at various railway stations. Jodhpur railway station was first to get such bottle crushers followed by Vadodara and now South Western Railway has taken up the initiative and has installed plastic bottle crushers at KSR city station, Yeshwantpur station, Cantonment station and Krishnarajapuram station.

To promote the use of bottle crushers by passengers, a 5 rupee cashback will be provided to passengers on crushing every bottle. The cashback will be added to paytm wallet of passengers. To get the cashback, passengers need to enter their mobile number after dropping used plastic water bottles.

This eco--friendly move will also ensure that passengers will not dump used plastic bottles on railway tracks. Rs 4.5 lakh has been spent by railways on each of these bottle crushing machines.
