Title - Garib Rath ticket price likely to go up

Railway is finalising the decision to include the price of Bedroll tickets given to passengers of Garib Rath separately. However, one has to pay currently Rs. 25 extra while aboard to get a bedroll kit but railway will charge significantly more.

Railway says that cost of maintaining bedroll kit has gone up, therefore rise in charges of bedroll kits will be applicable to other trains as well.

The rethink follows a note from the office of the deputy Comptroller and Auditor General, asking why a revision had not taken place for the “poor man’s chariot”.
