Vijayawada (AP), Aug 13 (PTI) A forensic report on the last month's Tamil Nadu Express fire mishap at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh that left 32 passengers dead is expected within a week, a top official of the South Central Railway said today. "Based on this forensic report, the Commissioner of Railway Safety (South-Central Circle) who is entrusted with the probe into the accident will file his report to the Ministry of Railways," South Central Railway General Manager G N Asthana told reporters here. He, however, refused to comment on the cause of the devastating fire that gutted the S-11 coach of the Tamil Nadu-bound train near Nellore in Andhra Pradesh on July 30. "I will not say anything on the accident which is under a thorough enquiry. Based on the forensic report, the safety commissioner will file a report to the Railway Ministry," Asthana said. Railway Minister Mukul Roy had entrusted the investigation into the mishap to D K Singh, Commissioner of Railway Safety of South-Central Circle. |
