Title - First Rail AC Ambulance for Central Railways

Finally Central Railway got its first air – Conditioned ambulance on Thursday. This ambulance will be used to give medical treatment to victims during golden hour after a rail disaster.

In this ambulance 50 people can be given basic treatment simultaneously. This ambulance will stationed at Kalyan and can also be used to transport organs from one state to another for transplant. Railway is also planning to come up with a dedicated green corridor that will allow faster transportation of organs without causing much trouble to people and traffic.

The Railways already have several accident relief medical equipment trains, which are fully equipped with facilities necessary for operations. But, those trains remain parked at accident sites, till the time relief work continues at the disaster sites.
