Title - Fill engineering posts: Railway union

The East Coast Railway Shramik Congress has demanded that recruitment be taken up for posts in Railway Engineering wing lying vacant for a long time.As a result of the posts remaining unfilled, supervisors were facing severe hardship, the Congress divisional secretary V.J. Ajay Kumar said at a meeting of Railway Engineering Supervisors on Sunday.He also expressed concern over safety aspects with around 2,000 posts of gangmen, kalasis and supervisors not being filled.The meeting decided to take to the notice of officials their demands, including Rs.5,400 grade pay to senior section engineers, appointment of seniors as in charges and a policy on transfers.T. Narsinga Rao and T. Nageswara Rao and other leaders participated.A meeting of Waltair divisional engineering staff will be held on June 17.
