From the day Humsafar trains were announced in the last rail budget there has been much anticipation for these trains and why not? Every one wants to know that how Indian Railway will justify its premium fare over other AC trains; especially when it has only AC 3 tier coaches as a part. However there are few facts that will help Indian Raiwlays to justify its premium fare –

  • New Vinyl coating comprised of new paint scheme that make this train look seriously attractive compared to other trains.
  • All new interior with dedicated laptop / mobile points for every seats. Also dustbin will be provided in each cabin to maintain cleanliness.
  • Three odour control system in every coach.
  • Braille – integrated seat number stickers.
  • GPS system installed on every coach to display real time information.
  • Mini Pantry in every coach with automatic vending machines.
  • Curtains are back in AC three tier in Humsafar with ‘humsafar’ imprinted on it.
  • Modern toilets with odour control system.
  • 6 CCTV cameras and 14 smoke detector installed in every coach to take care of security. It must be noted that cameras are fitted in aisle so that passenger’s privacy can be maintained.
  • Extensive fire and smoke detection system throughout train.
