Railways asked not to transport poultry products till ban is lifted More than 27,000 eggs which arrived at Kollam railway station on Sunday afternoon from Bangalore by the Kanyakumari-bound Island Express were seized by the surveillance wing of the Animal Husbandry Department (AHD).There is a ban on entry of poultry products into Kerala from other States because of avian flu threat there.Director of AHD K.G. Suma said that directions had been issued on Saturday by Principal Secretary, AHD, Subrata Biswas to all District Collectors to strictly enforce the ban.
