Title - ECoR leads in FAO Football league

East Coast Railway defeated Radharaman Club by 1-0 goal in the group-C league matches and topped the group in the Sidhartha FAO (1st Division) Football League at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Saturday.After the barren first half, Maheswar Das of the East Coast Railway scored the all important goal in the 62nd minutes and the team maintained their supremacy, won all the four matches which they have played in the league round.In another group-C league match, racing from the back defending champion Odisha Police edged out Western Mahavir Club by 2-1 goals and registered third victory in four outings. After the goalless first half, Pradyumna Nanda of Mahaveer scored a goal in the 72nd minute, but the team failed to capitalise the situation. In other end, Odisha Police bounced back in style, Basant Swain scored the equaliser in the 79th minute and just after two minutes his-mate Brundaban Hembram nailed the winning goal.G Suresh Kumar,Subrat Purohit,Sudip Das, BN Mahakud, Srikant Bohidar ,T Mohan Rao, and Y Ch Rao were the officials conducted the matches.In the group-D league matches on Sunday, Sports Authority of India and Rising Student Club would meet Azadhind Club and Sunrise Club respectively.
