Divisional Railway User’s Consultative Committee Meeting Held in Secunderabad Division of SCR

155th Divisional Rail User’s Consultative Committee Meeting (DRUCC) of Secunderabad Division, South Central Railway was held o­n 20.09.2013 at Divisional Railway Manager’s Conference Hall, Sanchalan Bhavan, Secunderabad under the chairmanship of Shri Sushant Kumar Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad. Shri S. Ramesh Babu, Secretary and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Secunderabad Division was present. Out of 20 nominated members, 12 members attended the DRUCC Meeting.

In his welcome address, the Chairman highlighted the performance of the Division during first five months of the year 2013-14 (April to August) and improvements made in Passenger services like stoppage of trains, extension of trains at stations, introduction of new trains as announced in the Railway Budget, running of special trains, appointment of Jhansadharan Ticket Booking Service at stations, provision of Escalators at Secunderabad etc. He also elucidated the various important passenger amenity work completed and in progress at stations.

The members expressed their satisfaction and appreciation over the improvements made at stations, for introduction of additional trains, extension of trains, additional stoppages at stations, running of special trains etc.The members requested for introduction of new trains, change of timings of certain trains, provision of Automatic Ticket Vending Machines at certain non-suburban stations, stoppage for long distance trains at many other stations, improvement to cleanliness.The chairman assured the members that their suggestions/representations would be considered within the guidelines/norms in force and action would be taken accordingly.

Later, the Chairman felicitated Shri. Nagesh Mudiraj, for being elected to represent the Division in Zonal Railway Users consultative committee.
