The deadline of the longest upcoming corridor for Delhi Metro has been extended to April 2018. Mukundpur-Shiv Vihar Pink Line is battling for land acquisition at some stretches due to which deadline has been extended to April next year. By September a major part of line from Lajpat Nagar to Mukundpur will be completed. The 59-km-long Pink Line is a part of Metro’s phase 3 project and has already missed the deadline of December 2016. As per the latest status report 91% of the total civil work is done. Magenta Line, another crucial project of Phase III, that will connect west Delhi to Noida via IGI Airport's domestic terminal, is likely to be "opened" in three stages - from May to September, the report adds. |
