From May 29 Tuesday commuters of Noida, south and west Delhi will be able to use the Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden corridor. Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line will be open from May 29 and will help commuters to overcome grueling traffic of South and West Delhi. The 24.8km Kalkaji Mandir-Janakpuri West section of the Magenta Line was flagged off on Monday and it also marks the completion of the entire 37.4km stretch of the line.

This line will help commuters reaching  Terminal-1 of the Delhi Airport from Noida eassier and from Noida to Gurugram in 50 minutes only. There are total 16 stations currently on this line including - 

Janakpuri West, Dabri Mor, Dashrathpuri, Palam, Sadar Bazar Cantonment, Terminal-1 (Indira Gandhi International Airport), Shankar Vihar, Vasant Vihar, Munirka, RK Puram, Hauz Khas, IIT, Panchsheel Park, Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash, and Nehru Enclave.

With the opening of Magenta line METRO network in the city will expand to 277 km overall. By the end of this year, the metro network is likely to cross 380 kms.
