Visakhapatnam, Aug 4 (UNI) The Railway Board Financial Commissioner Vijaya Kanth today visited Visakhapatnam Railway Station to take stock of passengers amenities available at the station. She discussed with senior officers of Waltair Division and the East Coast Railway(ECR) various developments in progress. During her inspection of Passenger Reservation System(PRS) in the new Reservation complex and Railway station, she observed all the passenger facilities to be in good state and appreciated the monitoring system of maintenance infrastructure. She opined that continued upkeep of all the passenger facilities and passenger traffic growth would be the progressive achievement for developing this station as world-class. Alongwith her were P Mohanty, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer of East Coast Railway and Mr Anil Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, C Madhusudhana Rao, Additional DRM, Waltair Division and other senior railway officers from the East Coast Railway and Waltair Division. Smt Dipali Khanna, Additional Member (Finance), Railway Board also inspected Electrical Loco Shed which has prime importance for movement of heavy hauled trains. She inspected all the sections, interacted with the supervisors and appreciated the achievements the shed is showing for good outage. She advised that mutual sharing of views towards the innovative efforts would yield good results. |
