Indore – Patna Express tragedy loss amounted to 127 apart from injuries to over 200 passengers. Esterday around 3 o clock in the morning 14 coaches of Indore Patna Express derailed and crushed each other. This is biggest tragedy for Indian Railways in last 5 years. Bodies are still to be taken out from flattened out coaches with army personnel, doctors and other police working night out. Track fracture has been reported as the cause of this accident. Compared to last fiscal year this year derailment has risen up to 67%. Railway officials might be ignoring such instances as till now most incidents were minor. It shows the current infrastructure for Indian Railways that needs to be rectified as soon as possible. According to a certain report Engine driver has spoken to officials in Jhansi itself before the incident that engine is showing overload, which officials ignored and told him to take this train somehow to Kanpur. A compensation of 2 lac rupees has been announced to deceased while condolences are flooding in from everywhere. |
